Hello all, this will be the last post from Madinah from my trip in December 2020, I continued to visit another old area which is just west of AlSih area from the previous post and it’s called AlAnabis area, because it was Friday I was blessed to see lots of great moments & scenes from children & old men, also like always I focused a lot on Documenting the buildings & alleys.

مرحبا بالجميع، ستكون هذه اخر تدوينة من المدينة المنورة من رحلتي في ديسمبر ٢٠٢٠، تابعت طريقي إلى حي اخر قديم ويقع تماماً غرب حي السيح الذي عرضته بالتدوينة السابقة ويطلق عليه حي العنابس، ولأنه كان يصادف يوم الجمعة صادفت الكثير من اللحظات والمشاهد الجميلة سواء من أطفال الحي أو من كبار السن، وأيضاً كالمعتاد ركزت توثيقي على المباني والممرات القديمة.

Because it was Friday I encountered a lot of people walking by just when I arrived at the area

بسبب أنه يوم الجمعة صادفت الكثير من العابرين في الحي في الدقائق الأولى من وصولي

Kids playing football in the streets, some play with shoes or sandals while others are barefoot, and no surprise there cause a lot of us did that at some point in our childhood

أطفال يلعبون الكرة في الشارع، البعض يلعب بالحذاء أو الصندل والبعض الآخر يلعب حافياً وهو شيء ليس مفاجيء بالنسبة لي لأننا في مرحلة ما في طفولتنا فعلنا الشيء ذاته

Dead tree near one of the mosques, I didn’t see it like that but it felt more like a known place like saying “let’s meet up near that tree”

شجرة ميتة بالقرب من أحد المساجد، بالحقيقة لم أراها مثل ذلك ولكنني شعرت أنها مثل المكان المعروف لدى البعض مثل أحدهم يقول “لنلتقي عند تلك الشجرة.

Some old men used to gather here for chatting & drinking coffee, what’s interesting that I’ve returned to them & only found the old man on the left to give him a printed photo, luckily I managed to found in him in the same spot because he live there, I wrote more about it in my Instagram account

بعض رجال السن الذين اعتادوا على اللقاء والحديث في هذا المكان، المثير بالأمر أنني عدت إليهم وإستطعت الوصول للرجل المسن الموجود على اليسار لإعطاءه صورة مطبوعة ومن حسن الحظ كان موجوداً في نفس المكان بسبب أنه مسكنه هناك، كتبت أكثر عن هذا الأمر في حسابي في انستغرام

When you hear the term “the neighborhood grocery market” in the likes of this old areas, this is what you can get usually and they are more then enough

عندما تسمع بالمصطلح “بقالة الحارة” في مثل هذه الأحياء القديمة، هذا بعض مما قد تجده بالعادة وهي تكون دائماً أكثر من كافية

Some of the kids I ran into and wouldn’t mind for a photo, they are after all what brings life to the area

بعض الأطفال الذي قابلتهم ولم يمانعوا التصوير، هم في الأخير ما يبعث بالحياة في هذه الأحياء
