First visit to Germany and it’s also first ever visit to Europe, I didn’t imagine my next solo trip outside of Saudi would be Cologne city in Germany, to be honest it’s not the ideal place for my kind of photography, it’s full of scenes & daily life worth taken and enjoyable of course but it’s not worth the money, that’s why my trip wasn’t intended for photography itself but to attend a calisthenics event at the FIBO expo which is said to be the largest fitness expo in Europe, anyway after arriving and getting used the idea of using the tram, my 2nd day at the country begun when I went to Cologne Central Station and started wondering all around it from 8:30 am and my luck that it was cloudy (enemy of good lighting in street photography) and it was colder then I thought (7 degree), I spent most of the time exploring as everything surrounding me is new to my eyes and for that I can’t just press the shutter at everything, first visit is important for me to know the place since it has completely different culture from anywhere I’ve been, believe it or not I didn’t left until it’s 3:30 pm and that’s only when the cloud started to disappear (my luck) it was a long walk (had breakfast, coffee twice and lunch) plus lots of good images.

أول زيارة إلى ألمانيا وهي أيضاً أول زيارة على الإطلاق إلى أوروبا، لم أتخيل أن رحلتي الشخصية خارج السعودية ستكون إلى مدينة كولونيا في ألمانيا، وبصراحة هي ليست الخيار الأفضل لمجالي في التصوير، هي مليئة بالمشاهد المثيرة والحياة اليومية التي تستحق التصوير والتوثيق وبالتأكيد ممتعة ولكنها لا تستحق الثمن الذي يتم صرفه للوصول إليها أو المكوث بها، لهذا السبب رحلتي هذه لم تكن مخصصة للتصوير وإنما لحضور معرض فيبو المهتم بالرياضة والذي يقال أنه الأضخم على مستوى القارة وتقام بطولة لرياضة الكاليسثنيكس من ضمنها، على كل حال بعد وصولي واعتيادي بشكل سطحي على استخدام الترام في يومي الثاني بدأ مع ذهابي إلى محطة القطار الرئيسية في كولونيا وبدأت بالتجول هنا منذ الساعة ٨:٣٠ صباحاً ومن الحظ أن الجو كان غائم بشكل كبير (عدو الاضاءة في تصوير الشارع) وكان الجو أبرد مما كنت أتخيل (حوالي ٧ درجة مئوية) كان معظم الوقت لصالح الاستكشاف بسبب أنه تقريباً كل شيء جديد علي شخصياً لذلك لا أستطيع أن أقوم بتصوير فقط لكل ما أراه، الزيارة الأولى للمكان مهمة بالنسبة لي لكي أتعرف عليه بشكل أفضل خصوصاً أن الثقافة هنا مختلفة تماماً عن أي مكان قمت بزيارته مسبقاً، الحقيقة استمرت جولتي حتى الساعة ٣:٣٠ بعد الظهر وهنا فقط بدأت الغيوم تختفي وظهور الشمس، الجولة كان طويلة تخلها فطور وقهوة ووجبة غداء والكثير من الالتقاطات الرائعة.
