Hello all, today I’m posting from jeddah for the Saudi Street Project, it’s not a new area other then the usual AlBalad historical area which is the oldest area in Jeddah and contains a lot of old fashioned high buildings plus AlBalad Market, I already photographed more then once but you never get enough, but before watching the upcoming photos you can visit the previous posts from then same area Day 33 – Old Jeddah & Day 34 – Old Jeddah.

مرحبا بالجميع، اليوم سأقوم بنشر تدوينة من مدينة جدة لمشروع حياة الشارع السعودي، التدوينة من منطقة جدة التاريخية وهي تعتبر من أقدم المناطق في المدينة وتحتوي على الكثير من المباني التاريخية الشاهقة بالإضافة إلى سوق البلد، قمت مسبقاً بتصوير هذه المنطقة عدة مرات ولكن لا يمكن أن تكتفي منها، قبل مشاهدة صور هذه التدوينة بإمكانك زيارة التدوينات السابقة من نفس المنطقة يوم ٣٣ – جدة القديمة و يوم ٣٤ – جدة القديمة.

My 8 days road trip to 3 cities in Saudi Arabia

February 2022 begins with a new trip and this one was shorter then the previous ones, I headed out early in Monday morning from Dammam heading to Taif west of Saudi Arabia which is the first stop, after I got passed Riyadh I found that I had good time to photograph the scenes from the highway plus the weather was super clear which motivated me to do so, my trip took 12 hours which is very long for a solo traveler but in the end I find it worth it.

مع بداية فبراير ٢٠٢٢ قمت برحلة جديدة وكانت أقصر من الرحلات السابقة، أنطلقت صباح يوم الإثنين من الدمام بإتجاه الطائف غرب السعودية وهي المحطة الأولى، بعد أن تجازوت الرياض وجدت أنه لدي وقت لابأس به لتصوير المشاهد من على الطريق بالإضافة إلى أن صفاء الجو يحفز لذلك كثيراً، رحلتي استغرقت قرابة ١٢ ساعة متعبة لطولها ولكن في النهاية أجد ما يستحق لذلك.

Hello all, this will be the last post from Madinah from my trip in December 2020, I continued to visit another old area which is just west of AlSih area from the previous post and it’s called AlAnabis area, because it was Friday I was blessed to see lots of great moments & scenes from children & old men, also like always I focused a lot on Documenting the buildings & alleys.

مرحبا بالجميع، ستكون هذه اخر تدوينة من المدينة المنورة من رحلتي في ديسمبر ٢٠٢٠، تابعت طريقي إلى حي اخر قديم ويقع تماماً غرب حي السيح الذي عرضته بالتدوينة السابقة ويطلق عليه حي العنابس، ولأنه كان يصادف يوم الجمعة صادفت الكثير من اللحظات والمشاهد الجميلة سواء من أطفال الحي أو من كبار السن، وأيضاً كالمعتاد ركزت توثيقي على المباني والممرات القديمة.

Hello again, today I’m posting also from Madinah but it’s from the same area I visited back in 2014 and published a post about it which is As Sih Area (Day 37 – Madinah), my walk went really well and I recognized some of the spots I’ve seen before in my last visits, a lot of houses were demolished and that’s expected but there are still alleys that remains the same, most of the locals are foreign people from Mauritania who came years ago in the country.

مرحبا مرة اخرى، اليوم انشر لكم مدونة اخرى من المدينة المنورة أيضاً ولكنها من نفس الحي الذي قمت بزيارته سابقاً في ٢٠١٤ وهو حي السيح (تدوينة يوم ٣٧ – المدينة)، جولتي كانت جيدة جداً وتمكنت من معرفة بعض الزاويا التي رأيتها سابقاً، الكثير من البيت تعرضت للهدم وهذا شيء متوقع ولكن لا تزال هناك بعض الأزقة التي لا تزال باقية، معظم السكان المحليين هنا من الجنسية الموريتانية الذين قدموا إلى المملكة قبل سنوات طويلة.

Day at Abu Sari’s coffee farm

Hello everyone and kicking of the new year with this special post, in my last trip to the south region I was so lucky to to contact & meet up with an owner of a coffee beans farm in Jazan mountains, Salman AlHureisi (Abu Sari) owns not only a coffee farm but a historical buildings which he plans to slowly transforms the place into a tourist resort for anyone who want to a different experience on the mountain, his farm located in AlHasher Mountain located west in Jazan Region & you need about 2 hour drive from Jazan city to reach to it because of the mountain roads, I’ve met Abu Sari at noon on the main road on top of the mountain and then he took me to farm because the road needs a 4X4 car & really good driving skills, when we arrived there the scene were amazing & weather was cool & chilly, I spent the whole day photographing the Abu Sari & his son while doing their normal activities and also I enjoyed the place, calmness & nature. Later on a group of people from AlHasher Mountain office came to visit the farm & observe what have Abu Sari done & will do to the farm specially for the coffee beans part & of course I took the chance to photograph this visit, lastly I’m very grateful for Abu Sari’s hospitality & definitely will come back soon.

مرحبا بالجميع ونبدأ السنة الجديدة مع تدوينة مميزة، في رحلتي الأخيرة لجنوب المملكة كنت محظوظاً لتمكني من التواصل ولقاء أحد مالكي مزارع البن الخولاني في جبال جازان، سلمان الحريصي (أبو ساري) مالك مزرعة الهديهدة وهي ليست مجرد مزرعة للبن الخولاني ولكنها تحتوي على مباني تاريخية والتي جلعت أبو ساري يخطط لتحويل المكان إلى منتجع سياحي لتجربة مختلفة لكل من أراد الزيارة، تقع المزرعة في جبال الحشر الواقعة في غرب منطقة جازان وتحتاج إلى ساعتين قيادة تقريباً من مدينة جازان للوصول إليها والسبب لذلك يعود للطرقات الجبلية، إلتقيت في أبو ساري ظهراً على الطريق الرئيسي في جبال الحشر ومنها ركبت معه بالسيارة للذهاب إلى مزرعته وبسبب وعورة الطريق يتطلب أمر سيارة ذات دفع رباعي وخبرة كافية في هذه الطرقات، عندما وصلنا ذهلت من المشهد الذي رأيته للمزرعة والوادي بالإضافة إلى الأجواء الغائمة ذات حرارة معتدلة، أمضيت معظم اليوم في تصوير أبو ساري وإبنه ساري وأقاربه وهم يقومون بنشاطاتهم المعتادة وكذلك كنت استمتع بالهدوء والطبيعة التي كانت موجودة في ذلك الوقت. في وقت لاحق وصلت مجموعة من مركز جبال الحشر لزيارة المزرعة والاطلاع على ما تحتويه من أشجار البن الخولاني والجهود الذي يقوم بها أبو ساري وبالطبع استغليت الأمر بتغطية هذه الزيارة وتصويرهم، أخيراً أنا جداً ممتن لضيافة أبو ساري الكريمة وبكل تأكيد سأعود قريباً.

Faces from Hail – People’s photography

In my last visit to Hail city in December 2020, I went to AlDelal workshops (Crafting & selling Dellah which is the name of the pot for the Arabian Coffee) where I already published a post from there (Day 48 – Ha’il Part 1) like I always I try to meet & chat with people there which I took the chance to capture a few shots for them.

في زيارتي الأخيرة لمدينة حائل في ديسمبر ٢٠٢٠، ذهبت إلى مصانع الدلال (صناعة وبيع الدلال المستخدمة في القهوة العربية) والذي نشرت تدوينة منه مسبقاً (اليوم ٤٨ – حائل الجزء الأول) ومثل المعتاد حاولت لقاء ومحادثة الناس هناك وقمت بتصوير بعض الصور لهم.

My 2 weeks road trip to the South of Saudi

In the Beginning of October 2021 I Begun my photography trip heading to the south of Saudi Arabia to photograph in 3 different regions which are Jazan Region, Najran Region & AlQunfudhah city which is part of Makkah Region, but my first stop would be in Abha city in Asia Region because my wife wanted to come & visit Abha for the first time so naturally I’ve made plans to make it first things to do so I can be free for photography later, before reaching Abha I made one night stop at Bisha city before taking the mountain road through several cities like AlNamas until I reached Abha.

مع بداية شهر اكتوبر ٢٠٢١ بدأت رحلتي الفوتوغرافية متوجهاً إلى جنوب السعودية للزيارة والتصوير في ثلاث مناطق رئيسية وهي منطقة جازان ونجران ومحافظة القنفذة التابعة لمنطقة مكة المكرمة، وكانت وجهتي الأولى مدينة أبها بمنطقة عسير والسبب في ذلك أن زوجتي أرادت زيارة أبها ورؤية منتزه السحاب فـ كان الحل الوحيد هو أن تكون في أول مسار الرحلة لكي أتفرغ للتصوير في الايام اللاحقة، قبل الوصول إلى أبها قمت بالتوقف لمدة ليلة في محافظة بيشة للراحة ومن ثم انطلقت صباحاً متوجهاً إلى أبها مروراً بعدة محافظات مثل النماص وبللسمر وبللحمر، قمت بزيارة منتزه جبل ناصر بشكل سريع والذي يحتوي على مطلات جميلة للغاية.

Quick photography trip to Riyadh

I visited the capital city of Riyadh for 2 whole days for photography, I was aiming at reaching areas I haven’t photograph before & luckily I found where I need to go which are south of AlZal Market, when I reached one of the area I met someone who was born and still live here, he told me that these areas are the oldest in all over the city and still has lots of old traditional houses, anyway most of what I captured are not filled with people but I still got a good results from all of this & I’m gonna publish full posts about them later, I visited these areas in the evening in the these 2 days and as for the morning I just walked in AlBatha area & it surroundings, Riyadh is one of the cities that deserve to be explored more in this field.

قمت بزيارة العاصمة الرياض لمدة يومين كاملين لغرض التصوير بشكل رئيسي، كنت أهدف من زيارتي تصوير أحياء لم أقم بتصويرها من قبل ولحسن الحظ وجدت ضالتي في الأحياء جنوب الديرة وسوق الزل، إلتقيت بأحد سكانها الذي أخبرني أنه عاش وولد في نفس هذا الحي ويسمى حي المعكال وقال أيضاً أن هذا الحي يتوسط عدة احياة قديمة منها حي الدحو (الذي تم هدمه في السنوات الماضية) وحي الدوبية وجميعها لا زالت تحتوي على بيوت الطين القديمة ولكن حي الدوبية هو أكثرها كثافة، قمت بزيارة هذه الأحياء في المساء في هذين اليومين والجولات كانت بشكل عام قليلة جداً من حيث تصوير الناس ولكنها كانت مثمرة وسأقوم بنشر تدوينات كاملة لاحقاً، بالطبع استغليت الصباح في زيارة البطحاء وما حولها، الرياض احدى المدن التي لا زالت تستحق استكشافها بشكل أكبر من هذه الناحية.

Day 85 Hail – Downtown

Following my Saudi Street Project, I’ve visited Hail for 3rd time and to be honest every time I visit this city I’m amazed by it’s dark colored mountains because how close they are to the city, anyhow I visited the old area in barazan which had lots of old heritage houses and some were huge, and then headed for the downtown market in the same area which was big & scattered across the area, I found some interesting scenes there & for me it was a light photowalk so it won’t be a lot of photos like always.

اتباعاً لمشروعي حياة الشارع السعودي، قمت بزيارة حائل للمرة الثالثة ولكي أكون صريحاً كل مرة أقوم بزيارة المدينة أكون مذهولاً من الجبال البركانية من حولها وذلك بسبب قربها الشديد من المدينة، على كل حال قمت بزيارة الحي القديم في بَرَزان والذي كان ممتلئاً ببيوت الطين القديمة وبعضها كان كبيراً ومن ثم توجهت لسوق وسط المدينة المجاور له والسوق كان كبيراً ومنتشراً في أرجاء المنطقة، وجدت عدة مشاهد مثيرة للاهتمام هناك ولكنها بالنسبة لي كان جولة تصوير خفيفة لذلك سأنشر فقط القليل من الصور.

Street Photography at Night 6 – AlHasa

New night photowalk from downtown Hofuf in AlHasa, the last time I went out for street photography was 3 months ago because of the weather & also because I was worn out from going out too much so I took a break, I tried not to focus on time or number of images to capture, I just went out refreshed myself with photography, it’s a passion that feeds the soul so yeah enjoy the photos!

جولة تصوير ليلية جديدة من وسط مدينة الهفوف في محافظة الأحساء، اخر مرة خرجت للتصوير لحياة الشارع كانت قبل ٣ شهور بسبب الأجواء الحارة وأيضاً بسبب أنني شعرت أني مرهق من كثرة التصوير في ذلك الوقت لذلك اخذت وقت للراحة، حاولت أن لا أركز على وقت طويل أو عدد كبير من الصور الملتقطة، خرجت للتصوير لكي أرفه عن نفسي فقط، هو عبارة عن شغف لتغذية الروح، أتمنى أن تنال على إعجابكم!
