Following my Saudi Street Project, I’ve visited Hail for 3rd time and to be honest every time I visit this city I’m amazed by it’s dark colored mountains because how close they are to the city, anyhow I visited the old area in barazan which had lots of old heritage houses and some were huge, and then headed for the downtown market in the same area which was big & scattered across the area, I found some interesting scenes there & for me it was a light photowalk so it won’t be a lot of photos like always.
اتباعاً لمشروعي حياة الشارع السعودي، قمت بزيارة حائل للمرة الثالثة ولكي أكون صريحاً كل مرة أقوم بزيارة المدينة أكون مذهولاً من الجبال البركانية من حولها وذلك بسبب قربها الشديد من المدينة، على كل حال قمت بزيارة الحي القديم في بَرَزان والذي كان ممتلئاً ببيوت الطين القديمة وبعضها كان كبيراً ومن ثم توجهت لسوق وسط المدينة المجاور له والسوق كان كبيراً ومنتشراً في أرجاء المنطقة، وجدت عدة مشاهد مثيرة للاهتمام هناك ولكنها بالنسبة لي كان جولة تصوير خفيفة لذلك سأنشر فقط القليل من الصور.
I stopped my car besides this market and started my walk towards the area in front of it
أوقفت سيارتي هنا بجانب هذا السوق وبدأت جولتي في المنطقة التي أمامها مباشرة
This historical area is part of the old area called Barazan district, there were lots of houses and some were big ones, I took a quick walk exploring them
منطقة تاريخية قديمة جزء من الحي القديم المعروف بإسم بَرَزان، كان هناك الكثير من البيوت الطين القديمة وبعضها بيوت كبيرة، أخذت جولة استكشافية سريعة للمكان
After that I walked to the downtown market which is in the same area
بعد ذلك مشيت إلى سوق وسط المدينة والموجود في نفس المنطقة
Like most markets it has lots of closed alleys with many shops but many are closed either due to the morning time or just because of the pandamic
مثل أكثر الأسواق كان هناك عدد من الأزقة المُسقفة مع العديد من المحلات لكنه معظمها مغلق إما بسبب توقيت زيارتي الصباحية أو بسبب الجائحة

In the deepest area in the market (not exaggerating) I found this man with his small shop, Abu Malek works in traditional perfumes & oud for more then 30 years, he first started working with his father in early age in herbs field then after a while he switched to oud and got independent, he’s in the same shop for more then 10 years now
في أعماق السوق (ليست مبالغة) وجدت هذا الرجل مع محله الصغير، أبو مالك يعمل في مجال الطيب والعود لأكثر من ٣٠ سنة، بدأ العمل في سن مبكرة مع والده في مجال العطارة والأعشاب وبعد ذلك أصبح مستقلاً عن والده وغير مجاله إلى بيع الطيب والعود، يذكر أنه في هذا المحل نفسه من أكثر من ١٠ سنوات

ما تبقى من قصر بَرَزان، هذا هو احدى البرجين الذي لا يزالوا موجودين (في الوقت الراهن) ولم يتم هدمهم مع القصر الذي تم هدمه قبل بضعة سنوات، وفي الخلف يظهر جامع بَرَزان الكبير
Hail people are really nice to visitors

Show repair shops, not all of them are still open
محلات اصلاح الأحذية والنعل
It’s so rare to see any signs or photos (and this well known in the country) for previous kings except Kind Abdulaziz. The signs says “Don not forget me from your prayers: Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz” which he was the previous king before King Salman
من النادر مشاهدة أي لوحات أو حتى صور لملوك السعودية السابقين بإستثناء الملك عبدالعزيز، لذلك هذه اللوحة شدتني جداً
