For the last city in my trip to the north of Saudi was Ha’il city in Ha’il Region. The terrain around Ha’il is really beautiful with its mountains plus the people there are very kind! I met up with a photographer friend who was kind to me to take me several places in the city including the heritage market in the old part of the city, near it was several workshop for forging and making a heritage Jug made from copper used for Arabian coffee called “Dallah”, more in the photos

وللمدينة الاخيرة من رحلتي إلى شمال المملكة كانت في مدينة حائل ضمن منطقة حائل. التضاريس حول هذه المدينة من جبال جميلة وملفتة للغاية بالإضافة إلى أن شعبها طيب وكريم للغاية! استقبلني أحد الأصدقاء الفوتوغرافيين والذي أخذني في جولة حول المدينة من ضمنها كان السوق الحريم الشعبي في الجزء القديم من المدينة وكان بالقرب من السوق عدة ورش لصنع الدلال النحاسية والمعدنية المستخدمة في القهوة العربية المعروفة، المزيد في الصور

In the heritage market here are selling something quite popular here called “Bagel” and it’s made from camels milk! Yes you heard right, there is a special process from drying and other stuff to make it like this, eatable like biscuit

في السوق الشعبي كان هناك شيء يباع بشعبية في هذه المنطقة ويسمى “بقل” وهو مصنوع من حليب الناقة! هناك طريقة معينة يمر به الحليب من تجفيف وغيره حتى يصبح هكذا، يؤكل مثل البسكوت

Another old man who sells the same stuff like the one before, sitting here & watching his son doing his job

أيضاً هذا الرجل يبيع نفس ما يبيعه السابق، يجلس هنا ويراقب ابنه يقوم بمهام هذه البسطة الصغيرة

On the other side of the market there are several women who are still working until our day, making something that holds the water used for the people who live in the desert

في الجانب الاخر من سوق هناك مجموعة من النساء لا يزالون يعملون في هذا السوق حتى يومنا هذا، يقومون بصنع “القربة” وهي تستخدم في حفظ الماء بارداً للاشخاص الذين يعيشون في الصحراء سابقاً

Then I’ve went to the workshops near the market, where I found several of them handling different tasks and also shops who sells the finishing product, one of the product is “Dallah” which a jug is used for the Arabian coffee

اتجهت إلى الجهة القريبة من السوق والتي تتواجد بها الورش والمصنع المختص في صناعة الدلة العربية الأصيلة من النحاس وتتواجد ورش مختصة بمهام اخرى غير التصنيع بالإضافة إلى اماكن مخصصة لبيعها

Here is from inside one the big shops which has a workshop beside it, of course there is a corner which a Abu Majed prepare it for hosting any guest who come by or customers or the usual owners friends

هنا في أحد أكبر المحلات الموجودة والتي يقع بجاورها مصنع خاص بها، بالطبع في المحل هناك زاوية قام أبو ماجد بتخصيصها لإستضافة أي أحد من الزوار أو الزبائن أو حتى أصحاب صاحب المحل

Some of the new product which are forged in the factory beside it and there are some used ones. The prices for the set of Dallah are between ( 10,000 SR – 50,000 SR )

بعض ما تم صناعته في المصنع المجاور لهذا المحل وهناك بعضها مستخدم للبيع. أسعار الدلة عادة تأتي في طقم مكون من عدة دلات ويترواح من ١٠ ألاف ريال سعودي حتى ٥٠ ألف ريال سعودي

A workshop that only fix broken Dallah, not make them. A man was sitting inside holding a couple of Dallah which are being fixed here

احدى الورش التي تقوم بإصلاح الدلال وليس صنعها، في الصورة أحد الاشخاص داخل الورشة يمسك ب دلتين قيد الاصلاح في هذه الورشة

رجل مسن يكتب ملاحظة باستخدام الطريقة التقليدية ( القلم والورقة ) وبداخل المحل اثنين كانوا يرفضون التصوير لسبب ما
