Hello all, finally after curfew from COVID19 is over and the weather is starting to cool off I’ve started to get back into street photography and for the Street Life in Saudi Arabia Project so I had the chance to visit the capital city Riyadh to visit a new market which is the bird & pet weekly market in Friday which is usually start after Asr preyer located South of Riyadh, it was interesting to see more animals aside from always seeing birds (mostly pigeons) they were lots of kind of dogs & cats, also some baby monkeys.

مرحبا جميعاً، أخيراً بعد انتهاء الحظر بسبب جائحة الكورونا والأجواء أصبحت أقل حرارة بدأت بالعودة لتصوير حياة الشارع وللتصوير لمشروع حياة الشارع في السعودية لذا كانت لدي الفرصة للذهاب للرياض لزيارة سوق جديد وهو سوق الطيور والحيوانات الأليفة الأسبوعي في يوم الجمعة والذي يبدأ عادة من بعد صلاة العصر وموقعه في أقصى جنوب الرياض، كان الأمر مثيراً للاهتمام بالنسبة لي رؤية الحيوانات الأليفة أكثر من الطيور (معظمها طيور الحمام) كان هناك الكثير من الأنواع من الكلاب والقطط وكان أيضاً هناك بعض القردة الصغيرة.

When I arrived at the birds market (Pigeons & chickens) after AlAsr prayer the place was crowded with people more then I expected! So it was difficult to capture good images but somehow managed

أول ما وصلت إلى سوق الطيور (بشكل عام طيور الحمام والدجاج) بعد صلاة العصر كان المكان مزدحماً أكثر مما توقعت! لذلك كان إلتقاط الصور صعباً إلى حدٍما ولكن تمكنت من ذلك نوعاً ما

Then I switched to the pet area (small house birds, cats, dogs & even monkeys) but what really draw me was the dog area because mainly having a dog isn’t something popular in Saudi

بعد ذلك ذهبت إلى منطقة الحيوانات الأليفة (الطيور الصغيرة للمنازل، قطط، كلاب وحتى قردة) لكن الذي كان يجذبني بشكل كبير هي منطقة الكلاب بكل بساطة السبب أن وجود الكلب كـ حيوان أليف ليس من الأمور المتعارف عليها في السعودية

The variety of people who visit this area from men to women & little girls are not shocking but it’s still interesting

تنوع الناس الذين يزورون السوق من الرجال إلى النساء والفتيات الصغيرات ليس صادماً ولكن يبقى الامر مثيراً للإهتمام

صور أكثر للطيور الأليفة وكل واحد منهم يستعرض الطير الخاص به بطريقته لكي يظهر كيف هو رائع التعامل معها

Before leaving I tried to return to the bird market but it was just too crowded so I ended my walk with photo

قبل الرحيل حاولت العودة لسوق الطيور ولكنه كان مزدحماً بشكل كبير لذا أنهيت جولتي بهذه الصورة
