Hello all, today I’m back to post more from my hometown village which is AlQarah in AlHasa east of Saudi Arabia and to be precise from the weekly market at Sunday morning, it was tough being here early because I had to woke up about 4 am and drive from Dammam to AlHasa which takes about an hour & half drive so I can be there as early as possible and it was worth it!

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم عودة لنشر المزيد من القرية التي هي مسقط رأسي قرية القارة بالأحساء شرق السعودية وبالتحديد من السوق الأسبوعي الذي يكون في صباح يوم الأحد، تواجدي هنا في الصباح الباكر كان صعباً بعض الشيء وكان علي الاسيتقاظ مبكراً الساعة ٤ فجراً وقيادة السيارة من الدمام إلى الأحساء والتي تأخذ قرابة ساعة ونصف قيادة حتى أكون هناك مبكراً قدر الإمكان ولقد كان الأمر يستحق تماماً!

What better way to start with this photo that says a lot, this was really my first photo when I arrived! The were happy that they are gonna be photographed, both of them are used to come at the market weather they have something to sell or not

لا توجد طريقة رائعة للبدء أكثر من هذه الصورة التي تقول الكثير، هذه بالحقيقة هي أول صورة في بداية جولتي! كانوا سعيدين عندما علموا أنني سأقوم بتصويرهم، كليهما يأتيان للسوق بشكل مستمر سواء كان لديهم ما يبيعونه أو لا

The market located on the main street beside AlQarah mountain, because it’s winter it’s full of sellers & costumers

السوق يقع على الشارع الرئيسي المحاذي لجبل القارة وبسبب أنه فصل الشتاء فالسوق يزدحم بالبائعين والزبائن

Some of the sellers begin their morning with breakfast on the same spot of their space & invite others to join before the long awaited day that awaits them

بعض البائعون يبدوأن صباحهم بالإفطار في نفس المكان بيعهم ويدعون الاخرين لمشاركتهم الفطور قبل بدأ يوم طويل وحافل لهم

This group insists that I join them when they saw me photographing knowing that I came from Dammam this morning, it was so simple & pleasing

هذه المجموعة أصرت علي بأن أفطر معهم عندما شاهدوني أصور وبعدما عرفوا أنني جئت من الدمام هذا الصباح، الأمر كان بسيطاً جداً ومرضياً

بائعون مختلفون مع مختلف الأشياء من البضائع والخضروات وكل بائع يقوم بترتيب مساحته الخاصة حسب نظرته لها

Woman sellers usually sells heritage stuff that are well known, the last on is trying to keep more privacy with that big umbrella & to keep the sunlight out of here later in the morning

البائعون من النساء في السوق عادة يبيعون الأشياء التقليدية والمتعارف عليها، الصورة الأخيرة هي خلف المظلة الكبيرة تحاول الحفاظ على خصوصيتها أكثر وأيضاً للظل من أشعة الشمس لاحقاً

This woman sells something that I really don’t know what they call it in english but it’s basically a very small (finger size) dried fish, which they used to add to some dishes or just to be eaten directly, this is well known among elders because they used to eat it as kids and still after all this years only for old men

هذه المرأة تبيع ما يسمى بـ (سمك العوم) وهو عبارة عن سمك صغير بحجم الإصبع ومجفف تحت الشمس، يستخدمونه في اضافته لبعض الأطباق أو للأكل مباشرة، هذا نوع من الأطعمة معروفة بين كبار السن والذين كانوا يأكلونه منذ صغرهم وحتى الان بعد كل هذه السنين ولكنه فقط مقبول لدى كبار السن في الوقت الحاضر

Some of the people who usually come to the market weather they are men, women or even kids

بعض مرتادين السوق الذي اعتادوا على الزيارة، سواء كانوا رجال او نساء أو حتى أطفال

These markets always has carrier which are people with a small cart to carry things that costumers bought for a low of fare, it depends who works their from market to another and it in this one there are only Saudi people

يوجد عادة في هذه الأسواق الحماليين وهم أشخاص بعربة صغيرة يقومون بأخذ اجرة بسيطة لحمل أغراض زبائن السوق، يعتمد من سوق إلى اخر من الذي يعمل وبه عادة وفي هذا السوق جميع من يعمل به هم سعوديون
