So I’m back to publishing new posts for my project and I explained this in the previous post here, anyhow I’ll begin with this famous village in AlHasa which is AlQarah village (it’s my hometown village) what make’s it great to walk around in the village is I already knew some, but it all looks different because my mind is set to photograph the place & the daily life, here are some of what I’ve captured.

عدتُ أخيراً في نشر تدوينات جديدة للمشروع وشرحت هذا في التدوينة السابقة هنا أكثر، على كل حال سأبدأ بالنشر من أحد القرى المشهورة في الأحساء بالمنطقة الشرقية وهي قرية القارة (وأيضاً هي مسقط رأسي) الذي جعل الجولة هناك رائعة هو أنني كنت أعرف مسبقاً بعض الأماكن في القرية ولكن كنت أراها بشكل مختلف بسبب أنني كنت مركزاً على تصوير الحياة اليومية والأماكن فيها، هذا بعض مما إلتقطته.

One of many houses which is very small in terms of land area, it’s old styled but there are others who has the same land area but newly build with multiple floors

واحد من العديد من البيوت والتي تكون مساحة الأرض فيها صغيرة، طريقة بناء البيت قديم ولكن هناك البعض من لديهم نفس المساحة وقد قاموا بالبناء عليها من جديد مبنى ذو عدة طوابق

One of the oldest mosques in the village, what makes this mosque special that it’s been build on a small hill

أحد أقدم المساجد في القرية، والذي يميز هذا المسجد عن غيره أنه تم بناءه على هضبة صغيرة

Some of the kids in which I met during this walk

بعض الأطفال الذي إلتقيتوا بهم أثناء جولتي

And of course mostly I find kids or even teenagers playing football on the streets, the one on the left is playing while wearing thoub (the traditional cloth for Saudi) which is very common in the country

وبالطبع ألتقي بأطفال وأحياناً مراهقين يمارسون كرة القدم في الشارع، الشخص أقصى اليمين يلعب وهو بالثوب وهذا شيء متعارف عليه ومنتشر في السعودية

While others playing, some are just attached to their mobile

وبينما هناك اخرون يلعبون، يبدو أن البعض متمسك بهاتفه النقال ومنشغل به

The one in the red t-shirt is cleaning his car carefully even under the hood

الشخص ذو القميص الأحمر يقوم بتنظيف سيارته بعناية كبيرة حتى ما تحت غطاء المحرك

As a kid I remember being here each time I came to AlHasa, it’s just amazing how things lasts this much

في صغري أتذكر أنني كنت آتي هنا غالباً عندما نزور الاحساء، حقاً مذهل كيف بعض الأشياء تبقى مثل ما كانت لمدة طويلة

One of the most popular classical cars in the Eastern Province in Saudi, the Chevrolet Caprice 1987 – 1990 parked here beside the small mountain in the village

أحد أشهر السيارات الكلاسيكية في المنطقة الشرقية في السعودية، شفرولية كابريس ١٩٨٧ – ١٩٩٠ واقفة هنا بجانب الجبل الصغير الذي يتوسط القرية

An old was just getting out from his house for a walk which happens that he’s my father’s cousin

رجل مسن خرج للتوه من منزله لكي يمشي في أرجاء الحارة وصدف أنه إبن عم والدي

2 kids standing and the in the background the small mountain centered in the village known by the name “The head of AlQarah Mountain” because to the top is very smilier in shape to the human head 

طفلين واقفين على الرصيف وفي الخلفية يظهر جبل صغير يتوسط القرية والمعروف بإسم “رأس جبل القارة” بسبب الشبه الكبير في قمته لرأس الإنسان وأيضاً يعرف بإسم جبل المشقر

The people say’s they always see him sitting here almost everyday, some habit are just hard to change

الناس يقولون أنهم دائماً يرونه يجلس هنا معظم الأيام، بعض العادات من الصعب تغييرها

Hanging curtain in this ally, usually when you see this scene it means that the ally has dead end and an entrance to some house, so they hang this for more privacy, it’s really common in villages

ستارة معلقة في الزقاق، عادة عندما ترى مثل هذا المشهد فهذا يعني أن الطريق مسدود ويوجد مدخل لأحد البيوت، لذا يقومون بتعليق هذه الستارة من أجل خصوصية أكثر، شيء منتشر بين القرى

Back from school at this hour? I think back from a private teacher

عودة من المدرسة؟ لا أظن، بل أعتقد العودة من مدرس خصوصي

فتاة صغيرة أنيقة بتلك النظارة الشمسية

Sadly I don’t remember the story behind this one, random kids from the area

للأسف لا أتذكر أي شيء من هذه الصورة، مجرد صورة عشوائية للأطفال في الحي

Finished the walk walking to AlQarah mountain for the sunset view on the village

أنهيت الجولة في جبل القارة للاستمتاع بمنظر غروب الشمس على القرية
