Hello all, continuing my posts of this long project with the fifth city in my last trip which is the holy city Al-Madinah, which has the Prophet Mohammad Mosque ( peace be upon him ). Sadly I spent only a day here so I woke up early in the morning not knowing where to go really. I was in luck to find an area nearby the hotel  I was staying in and it was called Al-Usbah area. It was morning and there was almost no one outside, but I kept photographing the houses, doors, alleys and everything else that life in my own eyes, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did !

مرحبا بكم جميعاً، استمراراً لتدويناتي الخاصة بهذا المشروع الطويل مع المدينة الخامسة من رحلتي الأخيرة وهي احدى المدن المقدسة ( المدينة المنورة ) والتي بالطبع تحتوي على المسجد النبوي الشريف. للأسف كان لدي يوم واحد فقط هنا لذا استيقظت مبكراً وأنا لا أعلم حقيقة أين أتجه. لقد كنت محظوظاً بأنني لمحت حي متواضعاً يدعى حي العصبة بالقرب من الفندق الذي أسكن فيه لذا لم أضيع الوقت واتجهت له. لقد كان الصباح ولم ألتقي بأي أحد كان خلال جولتي، لذا واصلت تصوير المنازل والأبواب والأزقة وكل شيء آخر يبعث بالحياة من خلال عيناي، أتمنى أن تستمتعوا بها !

The area has lots of wall writing that you will see in this post, and had luck to find the name of the area it self ( Al-Usbah ) with a funny arrow saying it’s 200 km to the left

كان يوجد بالحي الكثير من كتابات الجدران والتي ستشاهدونها في هذه التدوينة، ومن حسن الحظ صادفت اسم الحي على أحد الجدران ( العصبة ) مع تكملة طريفة بإتجاه سهم إلى اليسار وكتابة ٢٠٠ كم

In this area I noticed it has some old houses which has been built using the stone that are clear in the photos, I don’t know the history or the age of these houses, but they are old !

في هذا الحي لاحظت بعض المنازل القديمة والتي بنيت بإستخدام نوع معين من الحجار وهي واضحة من الصور، لا أعرف تاريخ أو عمر هذه المنازل ولكنها قديمة بلا شك

I saw this awesome drawing on the edge of the area, really loved it !

رأيت هذه الرسمة المذهلة على أحد المباني في طرف الحي، أعجبتني حقاً !

Some of the doors are not very different from what I saw back home in Al-Hasa, even the vintage colors

بعض الأبواب لا تختلف كثيراً عن التي رأيتها في الأحساء وغيرها، حتى مع الألوان العتيقة

Those two little kids are the only people that I’ve got the chance to photograph, somehow they weren’t comfortable about me pointing the camera at them even though I was standing from a distance, that’s why they decided to hide their faces from the camera

هؤلاء الصبيين الصغيرين هما الوحيدين الذي آتتني الفرصة بإلتقاط صورة لهما، كانوا غير مرتاحين مني بسبب أني أوجه الكاميرا عليهما على الرغم من وقوفي من مسافة ليست بالقريبة منهم لهذا قرروا اخفاء وجهيما عن الكاميرا

Normally in area’s like this I come across a lot of chairs & coaches beside the houses, but this was the only place

عادة في أحياء مثل هذه أصادف الكثير من الكراسي والأريكة الموجودة عادة بجانب المنازل، ولكن كان هذا المكان الوحيد

What I saw from wall writings that was covering the area in many places

ما صادفته من كتابات الجدران والتي كانت تغطي أماكن كثيرة بالحي

One of the houses that for some reason it has a white mark ( + ) on the door and I think I saw it a couple of times

أحد المنازل والتي لسبب ما لديها علامة ( + ) بيضاء على الباب والتي أعتقد أني رأيتها عدة مرات اخرى

A beautiful yet very simple entrance that has an outside guest room on the right

مدخل منزل جميل ببساطته والتي أيضاً تحتوي على مجلس خارجي للضيوف

I liked this old wooden door, the recent painting have giving it a vintage look after it’s almost wore off, also this is where I took a self portrait for my Instagram and I share it at that time click here to see it

This street layout I’m seeing is like everywhere, but in this area I saw it twice ! which is got my attention

هذا النوع من التخطيط بالشوارع صادفتها في أماكن كثيرة سابقاً، ولكن هذه هي المرة الأولى التي أصادفها مرتين في نفس الحي !

This side of the street speak a lot and has a lot ! children playing here, someone abandoned his car, wall writings, old house and more !

هذا الجانب الصغير من الشارع يحكي الكثير ولديه الكثير ! أطفال يلعبون هنا، أحدهم هجر سيارته، كتابات على الجدران، منزل قديم وأكثر من ذلك !

Some of the doors and entrance of the houses in the area, you can notice at some has a 6 digit numbers on the side of it and also from the previous photos? Sadly I was told that these are the number order for demolishing the houses by the government ! when? no one knows !

بعض الأبواب والمداخل للمنازل في الحي، تستطيعون ملاحظة بعضهم يحتوي على الجانب رقم مكون من ٦ أرقام وأيضاً في الصور السابقة ؟ للأسف الشديد قيل لي أن هذه الأرقام تمثل أمر الهدم ومن الحكومة ذاتها ! متى سيكون ذلك؟ لا أحد يعلم !

Again this photo walk was done in the morning, so that’s why there where no activities from the people who lives there in my photos, so I hope you enjoy it the way it is. Stay tune for the next post as it’s from Al-Madinah as well !
