Hello again. First of all I want to say thank you to all who have supported me even with a single word ! It means a lot and it makes me photograph more. Now this day it’s from Qatif in Central Vegetables Market, I went there with a group of other photographers early in the morning to see the auction of vegetables and the daily activity of the salesmen and the old men there. Most of capture are close portraits and capture the details in the face and show you the life in it !

First sight when I arrived there

This is called the carrier, he waits for the costumers to buy what they need and they carry the stuff for a small amount of money, I think most of them make their living from just this !

يطلق على هذا الحمال وهو ينتظر الزبائن بشراء ما يريدونه ليقوم بتحميله لهم بمبلغ مالي بسيط، أعتقد أنه بعضهم هو مصدر رزقهم الذي يعتمدون عليه !

An old man is arranging his vegetables and fruits, separating the good ones from the bad

رجل مسن يقوم بترتيب الخضروات والفواكه، يقوم بإزالة الفاسدة منها ويبعدها عن البضاعة

The usual routine for these old men every day in the morning is to come here with some tea, chatting with other and observing the market. They say they were here for the first time 60 years ago and one of them said he started working here at when he was 7 years old !

الروتين المعتاد مع هؤلاء المسنين كل يوم في الصباح يأتون إلى هنا مع بعض الشاي، يتحادثون مع بعضهم ويشاهدون السوق من مكانهم. يقولون أنهم هنا منذ 60 سنة وأحدهم يقول أنه بدأ العمل منذ أن كان عمره 7 سنوات !

One of the people responsible for writing how many was sold and for how much, after all this is an auction and someone got keep records

أحد الأشخاص المسؤولين لكتابة كم الكمية المباعة وكم المبلغ، لا ننسى أن هذا حراج للخضروات الموجودة ويجب على أحدهم الاحتفاظ بالسجلات

This funny old man is a carrier just like the one in the 2nd photo, he was funny because he was doing a lot of expressions when I photographed him

هذا المسن الطريف يعمل حمالاً مثل الذي في الصورة الثانية، لقد كان طريفاً بسبب أنه كان يقوم بعمل أكثر من تعبير في ملامحه أثناء التصوير

This is one of the costumer that bought a good number of fruits and vegetables and he’s loading them him self

This is the usual spot when you can buy what you need for house not like the auction usually that is for smaller salesmen

I started taking photos of this old man, called him and answers but he didn’t face the camera not after I realize that he was blind ! didn’t know that at first

 عندما بدأت بتصوير هذا الرجل المسن، ناديته وأجابني ولكن لم يواجه الكاميرا حتى استوعبت أنه بالواقع رجل أعمى ! لم أكن أعرف ذلك من البداية

I took this from a distance and I don’t know what he was thinking about when I was photographing him ! I think he will be surprised when I get back with this photo printed !

إلتقطت هذه الصورة من مسافة ولم أكن أدري ماذا يجول في خاطر أثناء ذلك ! أعتقد أنه سيتفاجئ حين أعود له بهذه الصورة مطبوعة !
