عباس خوجة (بومحمد) يعمل في مجال صيانة مكائن الخياطة التقليدية وتصليحها منذ حوالي ٥٠ عاماً وبدأت المهنة من والده في سوق البلد في مدينة الطائف والذي تعلم صيانتها وإصلاحها منه.
Abbas Khojah (Abu Mohammed) works in fixing traditional sewing machines for 50 years and it’s all started from his late father in Central Market in Taif City which he taught him everything he knows about tailoring machines.
إلتقى والده يوماً ما بشخص طلب منه شراء احدى المكائن لغرض تعليمه على أجزاءها وأسرار صيانتها وإعادة بيعها وخلال فترة قصيرة أصبح خبيراً بها وبعد مدة أصبح لديه مورد من مدينة مكة يجلب له المكائن ويقوم ببيعها في نفس المحل الذي ظل ٨٠ عاماً حسب ما يروي بومحمد، يذكر أن هناك أنواع معروفة مثل الياباني والألماني ولكن مؤخراً أصبح وجودها قليل في السوق وانتشر النوع الصيني الرديء الصنع ويذكر أيضاً أنه كان في السابق يشتري المكائن بالجملة وأما الان فيقوم بالصيانة والتصليح فقط.
One day his father met with someone which asked him to buy a used machine in order to tech hims the secrets behind fixing it & selling it and he became an expert in this field, after that he started to have a supplier from Makkah city brings him machines in order to sell it from the same shop which last 80 years according to Abu Mohammed, he mention that there are well known countries which makes these machines like Japan & Germany but recently they become less in the market and the bad Chinese one become more popular and also in the past us used to buy dozens of machines, but now only repairs it and sell some used ones.
المحل بدأ بإيجار قدره ١٥٠ ريال والان الايجار أصبح ١٦ ألف ريال في السنة، بومحمد لديه ٣ أولاد و٦ بنات وقال أن بعضهم يريدونه التوقف عن العمل هنا ولكن كان يرفض ذلك بإستمرار.
The shop rent was 150SR per year in the past and now it’s about 16,000SR per year. Abu Mohammed has 3 sons & 6 daughter and some of them ask him to stop working here but he always refused.
