AlQarah Mountain – iPhone version

Last month I went to Alhasa, usually I go there for 1 day only but this time I spent a couple of days so it was a perfect opportunity to go out early in the morning and head stright for the famous AlQarah Mountain which is located East of AlHasa. I choose to explore the upper part of it and since there was already a road stright to the top exist it was no problem getting up. I walked up there for an hour & half, here’s some iPhone photos that describe my scene.

الشهر الماضي ذهبت إلى الاحساء وأمضيت هناك عدة أيام وكانت فرصة مناسبة أن أخرج في الصباح الباكر للتصوير فتوجهت مباشرة إلى جبل القارة الشهير والذي يقع في شرق الأحساء. اخترت أن أقوم باستكشاف الجزء العلوي وبما أنه كان هناك طريقاً جاهزاً يوصلني مباشرة للقمة لم تكن هناك مشكلة في ذلك. مشيت قرابة الساعة والنصف هناك وهذه بعض الصور الأيفونية التي تصف ما شاهدته

My Hometown – Documentary Photography

I don’t usually post my street photos really quickly which are not included in my street project because I’m holding them for some time, but for this one I’ll make an exception! why is that? this is a photo from my hometown in AlHasa which is a very well known village “ AlQarah “. Although I photographed a lot in AlHasa, this is my first time walking around here to capture street footage from my hometown and it wasn’t enough at all because of the short time and the hot weather.

Burial in Saudi Arabia – Documentary

A first documentary try in how the burial of muslims in Saudi Arabia, from arriving to the open grave until the end of it. They dig a hole in the ground about 150cm, and then they dig inside of it a smaller one, about the size of the body about 50cm ( it’s all guess ), after they put the body which is wrapped with white clothe only and they open it only for the face, then close the small hole with pieces of wood and cover it with mud and finally bury the grave. It was captured in the Eastern Region, Al-Hasa, Al-Qarah Cemetery.

وثائقي عن دفن الميت، حيث يحفر له حفرة بعمق ١٥٠ سم تقريبا وبداخلها حفرة أصغر يوضع به المتوفى ومن ثم يغطى بألواح من الخشب ويغطى بالطين قبل أن يدفن بالرمال. تم التصوير في مقبرة قرية القارة بالمنطقة الشرقية.

Day 39 – Al-Hasa

Hello all, finally a new day from my project and this time it’s from AlHasa, Mubarraz from one of the oldest area that this city has. It was a smooth photo walk because I had the chance to scout the area before coming back to take street photos for my project. Anyway I don’t have much to say so enjoy the photos !

مرحبا بكم، يوم جديد لمشروعي أخيراً وهذه المرة من منطقة الأحساء مدينة المبرز من أحد الأحياء القديمة بها. لقد كانت جولة انسيابية اذا صح القول بسبب أنه كانت لدي الفرصة باستكشاف المكان سابقاً قبل أن آتي مجدداً  للتصوير. على كل حال ليس لدي الكثير لقوله غير أمنيتي أن تستمتعوا بالصور والجولة ! Day 27 – AlHasa

Hello all, This photo walk is from Al-Hasa in Jubail village, it has a large area for old allies and houses that are still a lot of the local people live there, I was surprised by the size of it and of course it has something special from the other villages that I visited, each path lead to several house and that’s it! it’s a dead end and you have to go back to choose another path to walk to, this is what I most encountered there. So enjoy the photo walk !

مرحبا بكم جميعاً، أولاً كان من المفترض أن أكتب لكم هذه المدونة قبل عدة أيام ولكن لإنشغالي في السفر لم أتمكن من إيجاد الوقت لها. على كل حال هذه التدوينة من الأحساء وبالتحديد قرية الجبيل، تحتوي على حواري ذو مساحة كبيرة الحجم نسبياً مقارنة بالقرى التي زرتها سابقاً ( جولتي كانت تقريبا ساعة ونصف وكنت أحتاج إلى نصف ساعة اخرى لكي أتمكن من زيارة جميع الأزقة بها ) تحتوي على الممرات الضيقة والبيوت القديمة، بالطبع كان هناك شيئاً مميزاً بها عن باقي القرى التي قمت بزيارتها وهو أن أغلب الأزقة والممرات عندما تمشي بإحداها تصل إلى عدة أبواب لعدة منازل وطريق مسدود ! ويجب هنا أن تعود لتغير مسارك وأيضاً تتفاجىء بنفس الحالة. على كل حال استمتعوا بهذه الجولة !

Day 23 – AlHasa

Hello and pretty late in posting this one because of some personal problems of mine, anyway I went to Al-Hasa again and I can tell you this city is big enough to capture hundreds and hundreds of photos from street life and old area’s ! but I’m just doing what I can in the mean time. I went for this little area which is called Northern Omran with one of my friends that already know the area ( this is to help me not waste time ) and found a lot of people in the streets, some kids playing and some elders just chatting with each others. Enjoy the photo walk ! مرحبا بكم ومتأخر جداً في كتابة هذه التدوينة بسبب بعض المشاكل الخاصة، على كل حال لقد ذهبت إلى الأحساء مرة اخرى وأستطيع القول من الأن أنها مدينة ضخمة وبالإمكان إلتقاط مئات ومئات الصور من حياة الشارع والأحياء القديمة ! ولكن أنا فقط أقوم بما أستطيع في الوقت الحالي. لقد ذهبت إلى أحد الأحياء التي تسمى بالعمران الشمالية مع أحد الأصدقاء الذي يعرف الحي مسبقاً ( هذا يساعدني في عدم اضاعة الوقت ) وقد وجدت الكثير من الأشخاص بالشارع، بعض الأطفال يلعبون وهناك كبار السن يتحادثون مع بعضهم البعض. استمتعوا بهذه الجولة ! Hello and back to AlHasa in Hofuf, to be honest this is my third photo walk to this old area and I already post some photos from there in DAY 2 but this time it’s different camera and different time plus my experience is getting better so I think you will love this photo walk even more! Enjoy it.

Day 16 – AlHasa

Hello all from Al-Hasa – Hotah village. I walked around the old alleys with one of my friends seeing the local people from old men and women, children playing and old shops ! This village is one of many villages that still has the same routine and the same old relations with others and that smell of the past. I really can’t describe it right, you have to be there to see for yourself ! Enjoy the photos.

مرحبا بكم جميعا من الأحساء قرية الحوطة. لقد قمت بجولة في الممرات الضيقة مع أحد الأصدقاء مع رؤية السكان المحليين لهذه القرية من رجال ونساء مسنين، أطفال يلعبون ومحلات قديمة ! هذه القرية هي واحدة من الكثير من القريات الاخرى التي لديها الروتين نفسه، العلاقات القديمة للأخرين مع بعضهم البعض نفسه وأيضاً رائحة الماضي. لا أستطيع حقاً وصف ذلك جيداً، لابد أنت تكونوا هناك لتعرفوا بأنفسكم ! استمتعوا بالصور.
