Back again with the 2nd Part of Ha’il city and the last post from my north trip which was in 4 different cities in North of Saudi Arabia, if you didn’t see Part 1 of Ha’il city please do! In this part I visited an old area from the city, and met great people over there, there are stories everywhere just waiting to be captured and told.

عودة مرة اخرى مع الجزء الثاني من مدينة حائل واخر تدوينة من رحلة الشمال والتي كانت في ٤ مدن مختلفة، إذا لم تشاهدوا الجزء الأول من مدينة حائل شاهدها اولاً! في هذا الجزء قمت بزيارة أحد الأحياء القديمة في حائل وقابلت هناك اناس رائعون من أهلها، وكان المكان مليء بالقصص تنتظر فقط أن تروى.

The first sight of the area gives me an idea that most of the old houses are small & one floor only

من الزاوية الاولى للحي أعطتني ايحاء بأن معظم المنازل القديمة هنا صغيرة المساحة ومكونة من طابق واحد فقط

Sometimes I admire these people, not because they spread random writings on the walls, but even so they leave a signature of their own, this is show me that what ever he’s doing, there something inside of him is pushing him to do it

أحيانا أقع بالإعجاب لهؤلاء الأشخاص، ليس لأنهم ينشرون كتابات عشوائية على الجدران ويشوهونها، ولكن مع ذلك يتركون توقيع معين يدل على شخصيتهم، هذا يوحي لي بأن مهما كان يفعله هنا فإن شيئا ما بداخله يدفعه لفعل ذلك

And some still use this old metal water tank, I believe in winter they put some kind of candle underneath it and because of the kind of metal this tank made of, it really warm the water in cold winter

ولا يزال بعضهم يستخدم خزان مياه معدني، أعتقد انه في فصل الشتاء يضعون نوعاً ما من الشموع تحتها وبسبب نوعية المعدن المصنوعة منه الخزان فإنه حرارة الشمعة بالفعل تجعل الماء دافئاً في الشتاء البارد

A group of friends are used to gather here from time to time drinking tea and catching up on each other, I remember sitting and talking with them about a lot of things

مجموعة من الأصدقاء اعتادوا على المجيء والاجتماع هنا لشرب الشاي وتبادل الأخبار فيما بينهم، أتذكر جيداً أنني جلست وتحدثت في أمور مختلفة معهم

Leaving the best to the end. This old man was sitting outside of a tent they own beside their house which they use it for guests and any other occasions, he was so nice and understanding with me and offered me Arabian Coffee, dates and tea. I left him then got back again to find his sons & a grandson sitting with him

تركت الأفضل للنهاية. هذا الرجل المسن كان يجلس خارج الخيمة الموجودة بجوار منزله والتي تستخدم في استقبال الضيوف ومناسبات معينة، لقد كان كريماً ومتفهماً جداً معي وقدم لي القهوة العربية والتمر والشاي. تركته وذهبت إلى جولتي وعندما عدت وجدت بجانبه ابنيه وأحد أحفاده معه
