Hello all, today we go back to Jeddah and from an area near the old part of the city called AlSabil area, some of the people who live here are from Yemen and they were really nice, my walk was a pit quick which really makes me want to go back there if I visited Jeddah again because the area have lots of stories & scenes, also I published before a story from the same area ( AlSabil Barber – Story 009 ).

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم نعود مرة اخرى إلى مدينة جدة ومن أحد الأحياء القريبة من الجزء القديم من المدينة وتسمى حي السبيل، بعض السكان هنا من دولة اليمن وكانوا بالطبع مرحبين ولطيفين، جولتي كانت سريعة بعض الشيء وبسبب أن هذا الحي يملك الكثير من القصص والمشاهد التي تستحق التصوير أريد العودة هناك إذا قمت بزيارة جدة مرة اخرى، أيضاً قمت سابقاً بنشر قصة من نفس المكان ( حلاق السبيل – قصة ٠٠٩ ).

Day 66 – Makkah (The Other Side)

Hello all, today’s post is gonna be from Makkah city west of Saudi Arabia, but first you can visit my previous posts from the same city Makkah Day 31 & Makkah Day 32 . 2nd I want to clear out title why I added (the other side) mainly because people when they visit Makkah (for Umrah or Hajj) & they want to photograph they either shoot the Holy Mosque, the clock tower or the people around it, in the other hand rarely anyone visits the old areas around the Holy Mosque, I myself visited the city 3 times and each time I went to an area away from the Holy Mosque to capture & reveal the other side of the city. Now that’s all clear, the area I visited this time is located west of the Holy Mosque and it’s called AlHindawiyyah, like other areas this one is on a small mountain filled with red brick looking houses, sadly I only walked around in small area because the time was really short but came up with good results.

مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم ستكون من مدينة مكة المكرمة الواقعة غرب المملكة، لكن أولاً بإمكانكم زيارة التدوينات الماضية من نفس المدينة اليوم ٣١ مكة المكرمة و اليوم ٣٢ مكة المكرمة . ثانياً أريد أن أوضح العنوان ولما وضعت العبارة (الجهة الاخرى) السبب الرئيسي بأن معظم الناس عندما يقومون بزيارة مكة المكرمة (طبعاً للعمرة أو الحج) ويريدون التصوير فإنهم يركزون على تصوير المسجد الحرام أو برج الساعة أو الناس من حولها، في الجهة المقابلة هناك عدد نادر ممن يريدون زيارة الأحياء القديمة حول المسجد الحرام. عن نفسي أن قمت بزيارة المدينة ٣ مرات وفي كل مرة ذهبت إلى حي قديم بعيداً عن الحرم لإلتقاط واظهار الجهة الاخرى من المدينة. الان بعد أن أوضحت كل هذا سأتحدث عن المنطقة التي قمت بزيارتها هذه المرة وتقع غرب المسجد الحرام وتسمى بالهنداوية، كمثل أغلب الأحياء القديمة تقع على جبل صغير وممتلئة بالبيوت ذات الطابوق الأحمر، للأسف تجولت فقط في مساحة بسيطة من الحي بسبب أن الوقت كان ضيق ولكنني خرجت بنتائج مقبولة.

Hello all, today’s post is back to the capital Riyadh city, this time I went to downtown (which’s located in south of Riyadh) also known as “AlBatha” this big area has been and still the street photography destination for anyone who lives or visit Riyadh, the area is big & it has many markets from all different kinds & it has so many tall residence buildings for foreign people, although the area is big I only walked in small area of it. 

مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم تعود من العاصمة الرياض، هذه المرة ذهبت إلى وسط المدينة (والتي تقع في جنوب الرياض) المعروفة بمنطقة البطحاء، هذه المنطقة الكبيرة كانت ولا تزال وجهة مصورين حياة الشارع سواء كانوا من داخل الرياض أو خارجها، المنطقة كبيرة وتحتوي على أسواق من مختلف الأنواع وأيضاً تحتوي على عمارات سكنية شاهقة للسكان الأجانب، على الرغم من أن المنطقة كبيرة إلا أنني فقط قمت بالتجول في جزء بسيط منها.

My 3 days road trip to Hail

In Wednesday December 11th 2019 I arrived at Hail, Saudi Arabia after a 10 hour drive from Dammam, I’m went there to photograph stories & deliver photos. 1st morning I woke up early & headed to the heritage markets to deliver a couple of printed photos, Luckily I’m met 2 out of 3 people and they were so happy to see their photos in prints. And I can’t forget how Abu Majed is crashing the cardamom the old way which is essential for making Arabian coffee

في يوم الأربعاء ١١ ديسمبر ٢٠١٩ وصلت إلى حائل بعد قيادة ١٠ ساعات على الطريق من الدمام، ذهبت إلى هناك للتصوير، تسليم صور وكتابة قصص. الصباح الأول استيقظت مبكراً وتوجهت للأسواق الشعبية لتسليم صور وإلتقيت بإثنين من أصل ثلاثة وكانوا سعداء جداً لرؤية صورهم مطبوعة. ولا أنسى صوت طحن الهيل بالطريقة التقليدية من أبوماجد وهو يقوم بتحضير القهوة العربية الأصيلة في الصباح الباكر!

Morning walk in Dubai – Street photography

Hello all, I visited AlRas area in Dubai, UAE. My last visit to the country was 3 years ago and to be honest I’m only here to attend Battle of Bars Dubai 2019 at Dubai Muscle Show, so I used some of my free time to photograph at one of the markets, of course the morning isn’t the best time but it was my only free time, I got out with just a few results because most the people here are foreign & personally I don’t like to photograph them much directly.

مرحبا جميعاً، قمت بزيارة منطقة الراس في مدينة دبي بالإمارات وكانت زيارتي الاخيرة للدولة قبل ٣ سنوات، بالحقيقة أنا هنا لحضور بطولة دولية لرياضة الكاليسثنيكس وقمت بإستغلال وقتي للتصوير في أحد الأسواق، بالطبع الصباح ليس أفضل الأوقات ولكنه كان الوقت الوحيد المتوفر لدي، كانت جولة لطيفة وهادئة وخرجت ببعض النتائج ولكن ليس الكثير منها لأنني شخصياً لا أفضل تصوير وتوثيق العمالة الأجنبية بشكل مباشر وهو بكل التأكيد ما يغلب عدداً هنا.

Streets of Khartoum Part 2

Hello all, because some people were real excited about part 1, decided to drop part 2 pretty quick and if you haven’t seen the previous parts please do from here. I went to Omdurman city which is one of 3 parts of Khartoum State in Sudan (the first part was the capital city Khartoum), the heading was for the city market which is famous in Omdurman with lots of varieties, I just loved the market as a street photographer and from there I took my best shot from the entire trip, also the market is filled with vintage yellow taxies which at some point used to be everywhere in Saudi Arabia. Another unique thing in Sudan in general is almost at every street corner, alley & the markets there is a woman who sells tea & coffee in a very simple manner, one last thing which is I tried to focus more in the people at the market, then the sellers of the shops which are most of them aren’t really interested to be honest.

مرحبا جميعاً، لأن البعض أظهر حماسه من صور الجزء الأول قررت كتابة ونشر الصور للجزء الثاني بهذه السرعة وإذا كنت لم تقرأ الجزء الأول تفضل من هنا. ذهبت إلى مدينة أم دُرمان وهي أحد ٣ مناطق رئيسية في ولاية الخرطوم (المنطقة الأولى كانت العاصمة الخرطوم)، الوجهة كانت إلى السوق الشعبي بالمدينة والذي كان مشهوراً هناك، وقعت في حب هذا السوق كمصور حياة الشارع ومن هناك إلتقطت أفضل صورة لي من هذه الرحلة، أيضاً السوق مليء بسيارات الأجرة الصفراء اللون والتي كانت متواجدة بكثرة في الزمن الماضي في السعودية، شيء اخر مميز في السودان بشكل عام هو وجود سيدة تقوم ببيع الشاي والقهوة بشكل بسيط جداً ومتواجدون تقريباً في كل مكان في السوق والممرات والشوارع، وأخيراً قمت بالتركيز على تصوير الناس المتواجدة في السوق هناك أكثر من الباعة للمحلات لأنهم لم يكونوا مثيرين للاهتمام كثيراً.

Streets of Khartoum Part 1

Hello all, finally I’m posting photos from a new country which is something I want it to share for a while, in March 2018 I visited Khartoum State in Sudan for 4 days & I was lucky enough to get in touch with a photographer there so he can show me the good places for street photography. These photos are from a photowalk in Khartoum city downtown which was the first walk there, so you can say that these are my first impression of the city.

 مرحبا بكم جميعاً، أخيراً سأقوم بنشر صور من دولة جديدة وهو شيء كنت أود مشاركتكم به منذ فترة، في شهر مارس ٢٠١٨ قمت بزيارة ولاية الخرطوم في دولة السودان لمدة ٤ أيام وكنت محظوظاً بشأن اتصالي مع أحد المصورين هناك والذي قام بتوجيهي للأماكن الجيدة للتصوير. هذه الصور من جولة تصوير في وسط مدينة الخرطوم وهي كانت الجولة الاولى، لذا تعتبر هذه الصور الانطباع الأول لي لهذه المدينة.

Hello all, today is the first post from Qatif, Eastern Province since 2014 in this blog, I went to AlKhamis market which is a weekly market held Saturday and just like many other weekly markets it starts after sunrise, AlKhamis is the pronunciation of the Arabic word for Thursday and because why they call it that & it’s been held in Saturday is that before in Saudi Arabia and for a long time the weekend was Thursday & Friday and back then it was held in Thursday, then it changes a few years ago to Friday & Saturday., so the name remains the same but in a different day. I published some stories in my other blog you can visit it here.

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم أقوم بنشر تدوينة الاولى من القطيف بالمنطقة الشرقية منذ ٢٠١٤ في هذه المدونة، ذهبت إلى سوق الخميس وهو سوق شعبي أسبوعي يقام كل يوم السبت ومثل حال الأسواق الأسبوعية يبدأ السوق بعد شروق الشمس مباشرة، السبب في تسمية سوق الخميس بهذا الإسم هو أن سابقاً في السعودية ولمدة طويلة جداً كانت العطلة الأسبوعية يومي الخميس والجمعة وكان السوق يقام في يوم الخميس ولكن قبل بضعة سنوات فقط أصدر قرار بتغيير العطلة الأسبوعية لتصبح يوم الجمعة والسبت، لذا الاسم بقي على ما هو عليه ولكن اليوم تغير فقط. قمت بنشر بعض القصص في تدوينة في مدونتي الاخرى تستطيعون زيارتها من هنا.

Hello all, today I’m gonna share you from the 2nd largest city in Saudi Arabia which is Jeddah, I only posted 2 posts about it and only from one area (Day 33 – Old Jeddah and Day 34 – Old Jeddah). Because the city is huge it needed more exploring so I was in quick visit to city and took the opportunity and went to an old area called AlRewais area and there I walked around for 2 hours, the people their were nice & welcoming.

مرحبا جميعاً، اليوم سأقوم بمشاركتكم صور من ثاني أكبر مدينة في السعودية وهي مدينة جدة، قمت فقط بنشر تدوينتين فقط من هذه المدينة ومن حي واحد فقط (اليوم ٣٣ – جدة القديمة و اليوم ٣٤ – جدة القديمة). لأنه المدينة كبيرة كانت تحتاج إلى استكشاف أكثر لذا كنت في زيارة سريعة للمدينة وتوجهت إلى أحد الأحياء القديمة ويسمى حي الرويس وهناك تجولت قرابة الساعتين تقريباً، الناس هناك كانوا لطيفين ومرحبين.

Hello all, today’s post is back to the capital Riyadh city, I went to the main market for selling, junks, used items and some cheap things in anything you could imagine, the market is located south of the city and it’s called “Haraj Bin Qassem”. I only vistied the market once and as I was told, most of market has been rebuilt & arranged the seling spaces more.

مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة اليوم تعود من العاصمة الرياض، ذهبت إلى السوق الرئيسي لبيع الخرداوات، الأشياء المستخدمة و بعض الأشياء رخيصة ثمن ويمكن أن تجدون أي شيء تتوقعونه، السوق يقع في جنوب الرياض ويطلق عليه اسم “حراج بن قاسم”. قمت بزيارة السوق مرة واحدة فقط وقد علمت أن السوق منذ فترة قد أعيد انشاءه وترتيب أماكن البيع.
