In memory for AlAnoud Martyrs – Documentary
It’s been almost a year since Dammam have lost 4 brave men who were responsible for preventing a suicide attack on AlAnoud Mosque at Friday preyer time held by a terrorist group in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. There was a big funeral held in Saihat ( a nearby town ) for the 4 brave martyrs and thousands attended it, I was among them with my camera, didn’t try to cover it like the usual way, but instead I tried to cover it from the eye of a person who attended the funeral. I didn’t share the photos at that time because there were too many who already covered it and shared their photos.
مضت الان قرابة عام كامل منذ أن فقدت الدمام ٤ شبان والذين بفضل الله ثم بفضلهم تمكنوا من منع هجوم انتحاري ارهابي على جامع العنود في وقت صلاة الجمعة من قبل مجموعة ارهابية في الدمام المملكة العربية السعودية. كان هناك تشييع كبير في بلدة سيهات للشهداء الأربعة وقد حضرها آلاف من الاشخاص الذين قدموا للمشاركة في هذا التشييع، كنت من ضمن هؤلاء الأشخاص مع كاميرتي، لم أحاول أن أقوم بتغطية التشييع بالطريقة التقليدية ولكن قمت بإلتقاط صور من منظور الأشخاص الحاضرين في التشييع. لم أنشر هذه الصور في ذلك الوقت بسبب أن هناك الكثيرين ممن قاموا بتغطية هذا الحدث الكبير ومشاركة الصور.

For the 2nd year: 12 Hours on the streets of Dammam
In Saturday 19th of March 2016 for the 2nd year in the 24 hour project event which is a street photography project started 5 years ago, I participated with this event for 12 hours straight in Dammam, Saudi Arabia! If you haven’t seen my 2015 12 Hours on the Street of Dammam please do. It was another great experience for my photographic skill to put on the test, I always wanted to do a long walk and random street shooting, this is the life I love to be in, so again I used my fujifilm X100s & this time I depended on the JPG format that the camera produce so I sometime switch it to b/w mode to color mode with sitting already saved in the camera, it really helped me get a lot of great photos in great shape without any processing. This time I took a lot of photo comparing to last year so it was tough to narrow it down, since I ended up with 70+ photos ( I know it’s too much ). I decided to show you half of it. Enjoy!
في يوم السبت ١٩ مارس ٢٠١٦ للسنة الثانية على التوالي لمشروع تصوير ٢٤ ساعة وهو حدث عالمي يهتم بتصوير حياة الشارع وتوثيقها، بدأ هذا المشروع قبل ٥ سنوات ولقد شاركت هذه السنة لمدة ١٢ ساعة متواصلة في شوارع الدمام بالسعودية! اذا لم تشاهدوا نتائج نسخة السنة الماضية من تدوينتي شاهدوها الان. لقد كانت تجربة رائعة لاختبار مهاراتي التصويرية في حياة الشارع، لقد رغبت منذ فترة طويلة المشي والتصوير بشكل عشوائي من حياة الشارع، تلك هي الحياة التي أحبها حقيقة، استخدمت كاميرتي الفوجي اكس ١٠٠ اس واعتمدت هذه المرة على صور جاي بي جي بدل من صور الراو وكنت أحول الاعدادات بين الملونة والاحادية في اعدادات مسبقة ومحفوظة، ساعدني كثيراً هذا الشيء في الحصول على صور ليست بحاجة إلى معالجة بتاتاً. كانت نتائجي كثيرة هذه المرة وبعضها دسم مقارنة بالسنة الماضية، بعد الفرز حصلت على اكثر من ٧٠ صورة وهو عدد كبير! لذلك قررت بمشاركتكم نصف هذا العدد، اتمنى ان تستمتعوا بها!

The Old Park
I remember last time visiting this park more then 20 years ago with my father, I came here for my daughter playtime, it’s ironic how time passes by like that, yesterday I was playing in this same place which was made of wood at a time & today I’m watching my daughter.
Busy Gas Stations in Saudi Arabia
Today 28th Dec. 2015 the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced it’s yearly budget which showed what lots have feared, they also announced changing the gas prices and will take effect immediately tomorrow! After hearing the news in the social media the people reacts to this shocking news in attempt to fill their cars with gas before it changes tomorrow and as a result the gas stations in major cities were flooded with cars in several hours and some closed early because the tanks of the station has dried.
اليوم في ٢٨ من ديسمبر ٢٠١٥ أعلنت المملكة العربية السعودية ميزانيتها السنوية والتي أظهرت ما يخشاه الكثيرين، أعلنوا بجانب ذلك تغيير أسعار المنتجات البترولية والتي سيبدأ تطبيقها مباشرة غداً! بعد تناقل الخبر وسط وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي تفاعل الكثيرين تجاه هذا الخبر الصادم بأن يقوم بتعبئة سيارته بالبنزين قبل أن يتغير للسعر الجديد وكنتيجة لذلك محطات البنزين في المدن الكبيرة أصبحت مزدحمة لساعات بالسيارات التي تود تعبئة البنزين وبعض المحطات الاخرى أقفلت مبكراً نظراً أن خزان المحطة قد فرغ.

12 Hours on the Streets of Dammam
24 Hour Project is a yearly world wide photographic event that document the streets from the eyes of many in a single day which was the 21st of March 2015 sharing them live on Instagram. As a street photographer I found it a great opportunity to exercise my street photography skills even more by doing a non-stop 12 hour walk in my city since I know it very well, and share a photo every hour on Instagram using my fuji X100s in shooting & my favorite app in editing which is VSCOcam ! This is all the photos I’ve captured plus the ones that already published in Instagram of the 12 hour non-stop of street photography in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
مشروع تصوير ٢٤ ساعة هو حدث عالمي سنوي مهتم بتوثيق حياة الشارع عن طريق الكثير من مصوري حياة الشارع في يوم واحد والذي صادف ٢١ مارس ٢٠١٥ لكي تتم مشاركتها بشكل مباشر في انستغرام. كمصور مهتم في حياة الشارع وجدتها فرصة جيدة لتمرين مهاراتي في هذا المجال عن طريق القيام بجولة من ١٢ ساعة مشي بلا توقف في مدينتي الحالية والتي أعرفها جيداً، مشاركاً بصورة في كل ساعة مستخدماً كاميرتي فوجي اكس ١٠٠ اس في التصوير و تطبيقي المفضل على الاطلاق في المعالجة وهو فيسكو بكل تأكيد ! هذه هي كل الصور التي إلتقطتها بالإضافة إلى ما تم نشره مسبقاً في حسابي الانستغرام من جولة ١٢ ساعة بلا توقف في حياة الشارع في الدمام – السعودية .
Day 12 – Dammam
Hello and welcome everyone, this post is special ! why is that? because starting from this post and on I’ll be using a new camera that I bought specially for the street life project which Fujifilm X100s ! I was really excited about it because it was designed for street photography so I happened to run across it and after a long thinking I’ve decided to buy it ! of course my Canon 400D is still around but for other photography stuff beside the streets or maybe I’ll use it if I want to use 2 cameras at the same time. So enjoy this photos captured in Dammam.
مرحبا بكم جميعاً. هذه التدوينة مميزة! لماذا؟ لأنه ابتداءاً من هذه التدوينة سأبدأ بإستعمال كاميرتي الجديدة التي اشتريتها خصيصاً لمشروع حياة الشارع وهي فوجي فيلم اكس ١٠٠ اس ! لقد كنت متحمساً جدا لها لأنها مصممة خصيصاً لتصوير حياة الشارع وقد صدف أنني رأيتها مرة وبعد بحث وتفكير طويل قررت اقتنائها. بالطبع كاميرتي كانون ٤٠٠ دي لا زالت موجودة ولكن لإستخدامات اخرى وربما اقوم بإستخدامها اذا اردت التصوير بكاميرتين في وقت واحد. لذا استمتعوا بالصور في هذه التدوينة الملتقطة من الدمام.
Day 10 – Dammam ( rainy day )
Hello again, this is part 2 of my last photo walk after the rains in Dammam. Again I’ve gone out in early morning last saturday after the rain has stopped to capture the life of people around the old market. Of course lots of reflections that you will like so enjoy my work!
مرحبا مرة اخرى، هذا هو الجزء الثاني من أخر طلعة تصوير بعد أمطار الدمام. مرة آخرى اقول انني خرجت في الصباح الباكر السبت الماضي بعد توقف الأمطار لإلتقاط حياة الناس حول السوق القديم. بالطبع هناك الكثير من الانعكاسات الذي ستعجبكم لذا استمتعوا بالأعمال !
Day 9 – Dammam ( rainy day )
Hello all and Back with a new series of my street life project and this time I’ve captured it in a wither that I waited for a while. Last Saturday I’ve woke up early at 7:15 am after the rain had stopped in Dammam went out to the old market near Seiko building that I took photos from in Day 1 . The early time was perfect ! It was a great photo walk and managed to capture a lot of reflections.

أهلا بكم وعودة مع سلسلة جديدة من مشروع حياة الشارع وهذه المرة إلتقطت هذه السلسلة في أجواء كنت أنتظرها منذ فترة. السبت الماضي استيقظت في وقت باكر الساعة 7:15 صباحاً بعد توقف المطر على مدينة الدمام، خرجت إلى السوق القديم بالقرب من مبنى سيكو الذي إلتقطت أيضاً بالقرب منه صور اليوم الأول. الوقت المبكر كان ممتازاً ! كانت طلعة تصوير رائعة وتمكنت من خلالها من إلتقاط الكثير من الإنعكاسات.
هذا هو الجزء الأول، استمتعوا !
Day 8 – Dammam
Hello it’s been more then 2 weeks since my last post, I blame my work ! anyway I’ll try to catch up to reach my goal. This time I went to one of the oldest area in Dammam there were buildings like 50 years old, sadly about 95% of the original resident have already moved out ! and all that left is the forgien workers most are indian and yemenis. So most of the photos are for the area and the some moments that I’ve captured. Enjoy !
مرحبا لقد مضى الان أكثر من أسبوعين على أخر تدوينة، شخصياً اللوم يقع على عملي بالشركة المرهق نوعا ما ! على أي حال سأحاول أن لا أتأخر في كتابة هذه التدوينات حتى أصل إلى الهدف الذي وضعته. هذه المرة ذهبت إلى أحد أقدم الأحياء في الدمام ( حي العمامرة ) هناك مباني قديمة تعود إلى ٥٠ سنة، للأسف الشديد قرابة ٩٥٪ من سكانها الأصلين قد انتقلوا إلى أحياء اخرى وكل ما تبقى هو عمال الأجنبية معظمها هندية ويمنية. لذلك معظم الصور الان هي من المنطقة وبعض اللحظات التي تمكنت من إلتقاطها. استمتعوا !
