Dammam Central Market 6 – Street photography

Hello all, sorry to have been a bit away from publishing post for blog, been busy in real life, new home and new family member but getting back slowly. Anyway back with more from Dammam Central project, this photowalk was the first walk in months because I was really busy as I said, so because of that I spend around 3 full hours walking in early morning, so I got some really nice shot & more importantly I felt refresh again.

مرحبا بالجميع وأعتذر عن ابتعادي قليلاً عن نشر التدوينات للمدونة، كنت مشغولاً في حياتي الشخصية، منزل جديد وفرد جديد بالعائلة ولكنني على خطى العودة ببطء. على كل حال عدت مع المزيد من مشروع وسط الدمام، هذه الجولة كانت هي الأولى بعد توقف عدة شهور بسبب انشغالي الشديد مثلما ذكرت بالبداية وبسبب ذلك قضيت ٣ ساعات كاملة أتجول في الصباح الباكر للتصوير، لذا حصلت على بعض الالتقاطات الجيدة والأهم من ذلك أحسست بالانتعاش مجدداً.

AlDawaser Room in Dammam – people’s life

Group of old retired men meet from the afternoon until sunset in a small room they use to play cards, drink tea and catch up with small talks leaving behind all of life tiredness, they just want some peace & quiet. I already did a detailed story about them 3 years ago in 2019 in their old room before moving to another after the pandemic.

مجموعة من رجال كبار السن المتقاعدين يلتقون عادة بعد صلاة العصر حتى مغيب الشمس في غرفة صغيرة يطلقون عليها ديوانية للعب الورق وشرب الشاي والأحاديث التي لا تنتهي تاركين خلفهم جميع هموم الحياة وتعبها ومشقتها، هم فقط يريدون الهدوء والراحة. قبل سنتين في عام ٢٠١٩ نشرت قصة تفصيلية أكثر عن بعض هؤلاء في مكانهم القديم قبل أن يتغير إلى هذه الغرفة

Hello all, this is from the Dammam Central project which I plan soon to go a bit deep with it & maybe with a different approach, the photowalk was also in the same day of the 91st Saudi National Day, no it’s not coincidence, I just wanted to go in that day.

مرحبا بالجميع، هذه التدوينة من مشروع وسط الدمام والذي أخطط قريباً أن أركز به أكثر وربما مع أسلوب اخر، الجولة كانت في اليوم الوطني السعودي ٩١ ولم يكن الأمر مصادفة، قررت الخروج والتصوير هناك في ذلك اليوم.

Full Moon on Murjan Island

First of all I want to say what happened before I managed to capture this photos which wasn’t from the first attempt even if I calculated the right time & the right place there is one more important thing which is the weather condition, but even with those unsuccessful attempts there were more reasons which was the good equipments, lack of experience and the right time which only occurs once a month

بالبداية أود أن أقول ما حدث قبل عرض الصورة والتي لم تكن من المحاولة الأولى وحتى مع حساب وتقدير توقيت شروق القمر والتمركز في المكان الصحيح يوجد عنصر مهم جداً ألا وهو حالة الطقس، لكن حتى مع تلك المحاولات الغير ناجحة كانت هناك أسباب اخر ى منها المعدات وقلة الخبرة والتوقيت المناسب الذي لا يتكرر إلا مرة في الشهر

Street photography at Night 5 – Dammam

Back with some more night photography, I went to an old area downtown at night and tried to capture the people there using the ambient light, also tried to do more editing on the overall colors inspired from some photographers that I’ve been follow lately so I hope you like it.

عدت مع المزيد من الصور الليلية، ذهبت إلى منطقة قديمة في وسط المدينة وحاولت إلتقاط المشاهد مع الناس ومع الاضاءة المحيطية بالمكان، أيضاً حاولت تجربة معالجة لونية جديدة والذي ألهمني بها بعض المصورين الذين أقوم بمتابعتهم مؤخراً لذا أتمنى أن تعجبكم.

Murjan Island with the Sun 2

Finally after many attempt for capturing the sun right behind Murjan Island Tower (30 meter hight tower) in Dammam from a distance of 4.4 km, because the timing & the place was crucial I had a very small window to capture the photos I want to take while the sun is coming up, I’ll be adding the exact time of each photograph so you can see my point.

أخيراً تمكنت بعد عدة محاولات من إلتقاط صورة لقرص الشمس خلف برج جزيرة المرجان المعروفة في الدمام (ارتفاع البرج ٣٠ متر) من على بعد مسافة ٤,٤ كم، لأن التوقيت ومكان التصوير حساساً جداً كانت لديه وقت قصير لكي أتمكن إلتقاط الصور أثناء الشروق، سأقوم بإضافة الوقت بالتحديد لكل صورة لكي يتضح حديثي.

The Shipbuilder Abu Mohammed

So I found something in my archive which for some reason I didn’t share it before, back in 2017 I had a visit to a festival in the sea front in Dammam which is something I don’t do (going to festivals), anyhow there was a whole section for different craftsman from different gulf countries and one of them was Ibrahim AlFaikkawi Abu Mohammed from Kuwait who came upon invitation for the festival.

كنت أبحث في أرشيفي ووجدت مجلداً لسبب ما لم أقم بمشاركة الصور التي تحتويه من قبل، في عام ٢٠١٧ كانت لدي زيارة لمهرجان الساحل الشرقي في الواجهة البحرية في الدمام وأنا شخصياً لست من الأشخاص الذي يحب زيارة المهرجانات أبداً، على كل حال كان هناك قسم خاص بالحرفيين وكانوا من عدة دول من الخليج وكان أحدهم النوخذة إبراهيم الفيلكاوي أبومحمد من دولة الكويت والذي جاء عبرة دعوة للحضور للمشاركة في المهرجان.

These are from a photowalk 2 month ago when we had the only week in winter with rains in our city, luckly I was on vacation so I really enjoyed the results of this walk.
