Manama Central Market – street photography

Hello all, this is the first post from outside of Saudi in while, this photowalk was the first one going for photography in Manama, Bahrain since the pandemic started, I gotta admit I wasn’t focus enough in this photowalk and I missed a lot of scenes but got a few good ones, hopefully I’ll get back to photograph more areas in Bahrain soon.

مرحبا جميعاً، أول تدوينة من خارج السعودية منذ فترة، خرجت للتصوير في مدينة المنامة بمملكة البحرين للمرة الأولى منذ بدء الجائحة، علي الإعتراف بأنني لم أكن في أعلى تركيزي في هذه الجولة وجعلتني أفوت الكثير من المشاهد ولكن خرجت ببعض الصور الجيدة، على أمل أن أعود مجدداً للتصوير في مناطق أكثر من ذلك قريباً.

Bani Jamra streets – Street photography

Before a few days of the travel restriction between countries because of the pandemic of the COVID19 I had the chance to visit one Bahrain villages and photograph the streets there which was Bani Jamra Village, I really enjoyed this walk there & got lots of great results.

قبل أن يتم منع السفر بأيام قليلة بين الدول بسبب جائحة فايروس كورونا كانت لدي الفرصة لزيارة احدى قرى البحرين لتصوير حياة الشارع بها وهي قرية بين جمرة، استمتعت جداً بهذه الجولة وحصلت على الكثير من النتائج.

Karzakkan Streets – Film Photography

Hello all, again I’m sharing more film photos and this time I used a nice black & white film with iso 400, the results were really good! I was visiting Bahrain so I met my friend there & went for a photowalks in one of the villages which is located west of Bahrain.

مرحبا بالجميع، مرة اخرى أشارككم المزيد من الصور الفلمية وهذه المرة استخدمت فيلم أبيض وأسود أيزو ٤٠٠، النتائج كانت جداً رائعة! كنت في زيارة للبحرين لذا إلتقيت بأحد الأصدقاء هناك وذهبنا إلى جولة تصوير في أحد القرى التي تقع في غرب البحرين.

Muharraq’s alleys’ walk in Bahrain

So I was looking in my archive and I found out that I still had one more photo walk from Muharraq city in Bahrain! I remember that I stopped at the main street with markets and started to walk inside the alleys, I was aiming to photograph the places & the people there. Here are the results.

كنت أبحث في أرشيف الصورة ووجدت أن هناك جولة اخرى في مدينة المحرق بمملكة البحرين! أتذكر أني توقفت في الشارع الرئيسي المليء بالأسواق وبدأت بالدخول بين الحارات الضيقة، كنت أهدف لتصوير المكان والناس هناك، هذه بعض النتائج.

AlBilad Village in Bahrain – Street & Documentary

I’ve met with a photographer from Bahrain in order to visit an old area, so we went to AlBilad AlQadeem Village located in the south-west of Manama, Bahrain which was originally at some point the capital of Bahrain before Manama, I’ve found lots great scene worth capturing & loved how the people interacted, I noticed that it has farms outside and some small ones inside the area. Here are some the photos I’ve captured.

قابلت مع أحد المصورين من البحرين الذي أخذني إلى أحد الأحياء القديمة لديهم، لذا ذهبنا إلى البلاد القديم وهي قرية تقع جنوب غرب المنامة في البحرين والتي كانت في وقت ما عاصمة البحرين قبل انتقالها إلى المنامة، وجدت هناك الكثير من المشاهد التي تستحق التصوير وأحببت طريقة تفاعل الناس مع المصور، لاحظت كذلك وجود بعض المزارع في طرف القرية وداخلها. هذه بعض الصور التي إلتقطتها من هناك.

Morning walk in Manama central – Bahrain

So this was an early morning walk in Manama Souq in the area which has the famous Bab AlBahrain, in this walk I used my 24mm lens on my 5DIII which was the first time to shoot streets using this lens and it was also the last time, in short I didn’t like that range, it can’t compete to the 35mm focal range. Anyway enough with the technical stuff and here are some of the scenes I managed to capture during that morning including a bonus at the end. Enjoy!

Another walk in Muharraq Streets

Yet another street walk in Bahrain and again in Muharraq ( You can visit the first one here ) it was really quick because of the short time we had before sunset and I’ve used my canon with a 50mm lens instead of my fujifilm this time, The photos are less but I hope you enjoy it!

مرة اخرى جولة في البحرين وأيضاً في شوارع المحرق ( تستطيع زيارة التدوينة الأولى من المحرق هنا ) كانت زيارة سريعة جداً بسبب ضيق الوقت قبل غروب الشمس وقمت باستخدام كاميرا الكانون مع عدسة ٥٠مم بدلاً من كاميرا الفوجي، الصور قليلة ولكن أتمنى أن تروق لكم!

A Walk in Muharraq Streets

I’ve went to Bahrain several times for street photography, and this is one of the first visits which was in Muharraq, Bahrain. I explored some of the old areas there near the market which was inhabited mostly by foreign families

ذهبت إلى البحرين عدة مرات لتصوير حياة الشارع وهذه احدى الزيارات الاولى والتي كانت في المحرق. تجولت في الاحياء القديمة بالقرب من السوق وهناك العوائل الأجنبية هم معظم سكانها
