Hello all, today we take you back to Buraydah city in Qassim Region, which is a city I visited 3 years ago, because I had only one day for my visit I immediately headed for the central market also known as AlJardah market, and without any plans that day was Thursday so it was a bit crowded which was really good, I started photographing the people that are selling on the streets & there was a whole section which mostly had women selling different traditional home made goods, my highlight of this visit is seeing for the first time Locusta being sold which makes for some the people as delicious meal after it being cooked, I took break at noon then went back to the market to cover more area around it & photograph the scenes & people there.
مرحبا بالجميع، اليوم نعود مرة اخرى إلى مدينة بريدة بمنطقة القصيم وهي مدينة قمت بزيارتها قبل ٣ سنوات تقريباً، لأنه كان لدي يوم واحد فقط لهذه الزيارة توجهت مباشرة عند الوصول إلى وسط المدينة وتحديداً سوق يسمى سوق الجَرَدَة وبدون أي مخطط مسبق كان ذاك اليوم يصادف يوم الخميس وهو من الأيام الذي يكتظ به السوق من الباعة والناس وكان هذا من حسن حظي، بدأت بتصوير الناس والباعة على الشوارع وكان هناك قسم يغلبه في حضوره الباعة النساء ويقومون ببيع الكثير من المنتجات الشعبية المصنعة محلياً، ولكن أكثر ما كان ملفت لي في هذه الزيارة هو رؤية بيع الجراد لأول مرة والذي يمثل وجبة لذيذة لدى أهالي المنطقة بعد طبخها، مع وقت الظهيرة استغللت الوقت للراحة وقررت العودة مرة اخرى لما حول السوق لتصوير المشاهد والمحلات والناس.
When I arrived the auction yard which is usually busy was like this, not sure why but maybe it will get busy in the next day (Friday)
عندما وصلت شاهدت ساحة الحراج الخاصة بالسوق والذي تكون بالمعتاد مكتظة ولكن يبدو أنها لا تستخدم إلا في اليوم الجمعة

مشاهد مختلفة من الباعة والناس في السوق، وبيع الكثير من الأشياء المتنوعة
And right beside them is the women market selling different kind of home made traditional goods
وبجانبهم تماماً سوق النساء الشعبي لبيع العديد من المنتجات الشعبية المحلية الصنع
Some of vendors which they sell live Locusta in small bags worth 20-25 Saudi Riyals
بعض الباعة والذين يبيعون الجراد في أكياس حمراء صغيرة يترواح سعرها ٢٠-٢٥ ريال سعودي
An old shop that is specialized in doing maintenance for rifles used for hunting & guns in general, at the bottom it’s said “Since 1397 AH (1976-1977)”
محل قديم متخصص في إصلاح أسلحة الصيد والاسلحة الاخرى بشكل عام، وكتب بالأسفل أنه المحل منذ عام ١٣٩٧هـ
Vendor set up these shiny pots in a perfect way on the streets
أحد الباعة قام بترتيب هذه الدلال بطريقة مثالية على الشارع
There is a small buildings which has a few shops in it, on pathway was & still not used at all, it was still the same scene as I saw it back in 2015 (2nd photo)
مبنى صغير يحتوي على عدة محلات وهناك ممر في هذا المبنى كان ولا يزال لا يستخدم، المشهد هو نفسه الذي رأيته في زيارتي السابقة في عام ٢٠١٥
An aisle that got renovated to make it traditional and modern full of shops & restaurant which is located beside AlJardah Market
ممر تم تجديده بطابع تراثي حديد مليء بالمحلات التراثية والمطاعم الشعبية ويقع بجانب سوق الجردة
Some of the old shop that still didn’t get renewed or back to business
بعض المحلات القديمة التي لم يتم تجديدها أو اعادة فتحها
This is one of the old buildings beside AlJardah Market which is has lots of shop slots but for some reason it’s mostly abandoned for a long time, it’s even have sign for open time investment
هذا واحد من المباني القديمة بجانب سوق الجردة والذي يحتوي على الكثير من محلات شاغرة ولسبب ما معظمها مهجورة ومن مدة طويلة، بالاضافة أنه يوجد كذلك لوحة معلقة للاستثمار المفتوح
No smoking sign is seen in unusual place, outdoor in the entrance of the parking lot for AlJardah Market
لوحة ممنوع التدخين تم رؤيتها في مكان غير اعتيادي، في الخارج على مدخل المواقف المؤدية لسوق الجردة
The entrance of one of markets which is about 2 min walk from AlJardah market and in the background shows King Fahad Grand Mosque
مدخل أحد الأسواق الذي يبعد مسافة مشي دقيقتين من سوق الجردة وفي الخلفية يظهر الجامع الكبير جامع الملك فهد رحمه الله
Had the chance to walk around the area besides the markets and these are some of the doors I’ve captured
كانت لدي الفرصة للتجول في الأحياء بجانب الأسواق وهذه بعض صور الأبواب التي إلتقطتها
