Residential area in Qatif – street photography

Going back to central Qatif cannot be enough, this time I focused on a residential area more on shooting people & buildings & kept away from the market which was beside the area directly and for a change I went out with a friend this time, it was a nice walk even though it’s not my first time visiting this area I published a post years ago Qatif Day 26 , years had past & still a lot of things didn’t change but got a few good results specially a photo for a collection that I didn’t release yet.

العودة لوسط القطيف هو شيء لا يمكن الاكتفاء منه بالنسبة لي، هذه المرة عدت لزيارة أحد الأحياء القديمة لتصوير الحياة هناك والمباني وابتعدت عن السوق الذي كان بجوار الحي تماماً وهذه المرة قمت بزيارة الحي مع أحد الأصحاب من باب التغيير، لقد كانت جولة جيدة على الرغم من أنني قمت بزيارة ونشر تدوينة عن نفس المكان قبل سنوات اليوم ٢٦ القطيف ، مرت سنوات والكثير يبدو أنه ما يزال على نفس حاله ولكنني حصلت على بعض الإلتقاطات الجيدة خصوصاً صورة من أجل سلسلة صور لم أقم بنشرها بعد.

Old man from Saihat – street photography

It was 2014 when I was on a casual photowalk when I photographed Hassan AlMaskeen my his soul rest in peace an old man from an old area in Saihat East of Saudi Arabia, because he used to sit in this spot very often after he died someone have printed his photo & placed in the same spot in his memory, not sure when he died but I saw that in my last photowalk & noticed that I have photographed him before & even delivered him a printed photo.

كان هذا في عام ٢٠١٤ عندما كنت في جولة تصوير اعتيادية عندما صورت الحاج حسن المسكين رحمة الله عليه وهو رجل مسن من حي قديم في بلدة سيهات بالمنطقة الشرقية، بسبب أنه اعتاد الجلوس في هذه البقعة بشكل مستمر وبعد وفاته قام أحدهم بطباعة صورته بحجم كبير ووضعها في نفس المكان تخليداً لذكراه، لست متأكداً متى كانت وفاته ولكن شاهدتها في اخر جولة تصوير في هذا المكان وانتبهت أنني قمت بتصويره من قبل وأيضاً قمت بتسليمه صورة مطبوعة على باب منزله.

Dammam Central Market 6 – Street photography

Hello all, sorry to have been a bit away from publishing post for blog, been busy in real life, new home and new family member but getting back slowly. Anyway back with more from Dammam Central project, this photowalk was the first walk in months because I was really busy as I said, so because of that I spend around 3 full hours walking in early morning, so I got some really nice shot & more importantly I felt refresh again.

مرحبا بالجميع وأعتذر عن ابتعادي قليلاً عن نشر التدوينات للمدونة، كنت مشغولاً في حياتي الشخصية، منزل جديد وفرد جديد بالعائلة ولكنني على خطى العودة ببطء. على كل حال عدت مع المزيد من مشروع وسط الدمام، هذه الجولة كانت هي الأولى بعد توقف عدة شهور بسبب انشغالي الشديد مثلما ذكرت بالبداية وبسبب ذلك قضيت ٣ ساعات كاملة أتجول في الصباح الباكر للتصوير، لذا حصلت على بعض الالتقاطات الجيدة والأهم من ذلك أحسست بالانتعاش مجدداً.

Taif Central Market 2 – Street photography

Hello again, my last visit to Taif city west of Saudi Arabia was for delivering printed photos in AlBalad Market, so I invested my time which was in the morning to capture the scenes for street photography, got a few good shots & managed to deliver the printed photos too.

مرحبا مرة اخرى، زيارتي الأخيرة لمدينة الطائف غرب السعودية كانت من أجل تسليم صور مطبوعة في سوق البلد، لذا استثمرت وقتي في القيام بجولة صباحية لإلتقاط مشاهد حياة الشارع، حصلت على بعض الصور الجيدة وتمكنت أيضاً من تسليم الصور المطبوعة.

Hello all, going back to west of Saudi for another post for my Saudi Street project and to be exact from Taif city, I published several posts from Taif and Day 69 – Taif was the last post I published for the project 2 years ago. Anyhow I stumbled upon an old area which considered one of the oldest in the city according to locals, the area is basically on mountain because the streets just go up and down almost everywhere which reminded me of Abha city, I wondered around for an hour & half shooting scenes & meeting people.

مرحبا بالجميع، عودة إلى المنطقة الغربية بالسعودية من أجل مشروع حياة الشارع السعودي وبالتحديد مدينة الطائف، قمت بنشر العديد من التدوينات من الطائف وكان يوم ٦٩ – الطائف هي آخر تدوينة نشرتها للمشروع قبل سنتين. على كل حال وجدت نفسي مصادفة في أحد أقدم الأحياء على حد قول أحد ساكنيه ويسمى بـ حي بني سويلم، والحي يعتبر على جبل بسبب أن معظم شوارعه الداخلية ذات انحدار حاد والذي ذكرني كثيراً في أحياء مدينة أبها، أمضيت قرابة الساعة والنصف أقوم بالتصوير مشاهد عديدة والتقيت بعض من أهلها.

Hello all, more posts for my Saudi Street Project also from AlHasa, this time I went to AlShuaba village located north of AlHasa, even though I walked in a small part of the village but I encountered a lot of good scenes, met a some of elder people & saw the children playing in most allys, sharing with you some of the results of this photowalk.

مرحبا بالجميع، المزيد من التدوينات لمشروع حياة الشارع السعودي ومرة اخرى من محافظة الأحساء، هذه المرة قمت بزيارة احدى قرى الأحساء الشمالية وهي قرية الشُعبة، على الرغم من أنني تجولت في مساحة صغيرة بالقرية إلا أنني حصلت على الكثير من المشاهد الجيدة، قابلت بعض كبار السن ورأيت الأطفال يلعبون في معظم الممرات، وهذه بعض نتائج الجولة.

AlBatha Area in Riyadh 2 – Street photography

Hello, just another street photography post this time back to the capital Riyadh city, I went for another visit to AlBatha area south of city because you can never get enough photos from there, it wasn’t a long photowalk but I got a lot of good shots, here are some of them.

مرحبا، مجرد تدوينة اخرى لصور حياة الشارع وهذه المرة عودة للعاصمة الرياض، قمت بزيارة اخرى لمنطقة البطحاء جنوب المدينة والسبب يعود أنك لا تستطيع الاكتفاء من النتائج التي يمكن أن تجدها هناك من المشاهد والقصص، لم تكن جولة طويلة ولكنني حصلت على الكثير من الصور الجيدة وهذه بعضها.

Hello all, new post for my Saudi Street project & it’s also from AlHasa, I went to the weekly Sunday market in AlQarah village once before and published it in Day 56 – AlHasa so I had to make another visit to document the status of the market considering the the municipality has started building the new traditional look market for the village & it’s supposedly to be finish soon, it’s definitely a good attraction for the village, because I arrived the night before the market day I had the chance to visit it very early in the morning when vendors starting to set up their spaces & eat breakfast.

مرحبا جميعاً، تدوينة جديدة لأجل مشروع حياة الشارع السعودي وهي أيضاً من الأحساء، ذهبت إلى سوق الأحد الأسبوعي في قرية القارة مسبقاُ وقمت بنشر تدوينة عنها في اليوم ٥٦ – الأحساء لذا شعرت بأن علي القيام بزيارة اخرى لتوثيق الحالة الحالية للسوق خصوصاً أن الأمانة قررت أخيراً البدء بعملية بناء السوق الشعبي للقرية والذي بكل تأكيد سيكون له تأثير جذب للسياح للقرية، بسبب أنني وصلت الأحساء في الليلة السابقة ليوم السوق استطعت الوصول مبكراً جداً في الصباح لرؤية الباعة وهم يجهزون مساحاتهم الخاصة للبيع وأيضاً تناول وجبة الإفطار قبل وصول الزبائن.

Hello all, back to the Eastern Region to publish what remains in my archive for the Saudi Street Project, I visited AlHasa at the heart of Hofuf city for an old and known area, when I arrived at the much older part which are mostly ruined & demolished which made feel sad deep inside, I’ve seen lots of this before but for some reason I felt emotional as if the places screams without a sound, continued to walk more until I reached the more lively part which most of the photos that I captured from there.

مرحبا بالجميع، عودة للمنطقة الشرقية لنشر ما تبقى لدي من الأرشيف لمشروع حياة الشارع السعودي، قمت بزيارة محافظة الأحساء وسط مدينة الهفوف لزيارة حي قديم ومعروف وهو حي النعاثل، وصلت من الناحية الأقدم في الحي وكان هناك الكثير من المنازل المهجورة والمهدمة وهذا الذي وبدون سابق انذار جعلني أشعر بالحزن تجاه هذا المكان، رأيت مثل هذه المشاهد عدة مرات ولكن لسبب ما كنت عاطفياً تجاه هذا الحي وكأن المكان يصرخ بدون صوت، تابعت طريقي حتى وصلت إلى الجزء الأكثر حياة وكانت معظم النتائج منها.

Day 101 Samtah – Monday Market

Hello all, this will be the last blog post from Jazan for the Saudi Street Project for now, I visited the Monday market in Jazan Region which happened to be in Samtah, I arrived there in the early morning with lots of heat & humidity even though it’s October which made me not take too long in this photo walk, the market was really impressive containing lots of local merchandise & local vegetables along with a small bird market, even though the walk didn’t last long I end up catching great images.

مرحبا جميعاً، هذه ستكون اخر تدوينة من أجل مشروع حياة الشارع السعودي للوقت الحالي، قمت بزيارة سوق الإثنين الأسبوعي في منطقة جازان والذي يكون في محافظة صامطة، وصلت هناك مبكراً في الصباح كالعادة واستقبلتني الحرارة والرطوبة العالية على الرغم من أنه شهر اكتوبر وهو ما جعلني أقوم بهذه الجولة في وقت أقل من المعتاد، من ناحية اخرى السوق كان مبهراً ويحتوي على الكثير من البضائع المتنوعة محلياً ولا يخلوا من الخضار والفواكه المحلية بجانب قسم صغير لسوق الطيور، على الرغم من الجولة القصيرة نسبياً إلا أنني خرجت بكثير من الصور الرائعة.
