Day 45 – Arar Part 1
Hello and back again after more then month away from this blog. I’ll begin with this one sharing the latest photos from my last trip to the north of Saudi Arabia. The first city which I went in the north is Arar, Northern Borders Region. Arar city is not a tourism city at all and because of that the city usually don’t get any outside visitors and it doesn’t have a thing that represent the city culture, in fact it’s a city founded about 70 years ago or so because of the oil pipeline for Aramco. So after taking a quick tour around the city I found myself in the center market of the city and the surrounded area so it was a start for me here. Enough talking and here are some of the photos!
مرحبا بكم وعودة مجددة بعد غياب أكثر من شهر عن المدونة، سأبدأ بمشاركتكم صوري الاخيرة من رحلتي الاخيرة إلى شمال المملكة العربية السعودية. أول مدينة وصلت إليها كانت مدينة عرعر تابعة لمنطقة الحدود الشمالية. مدينة عرعر ليست مدينة سياحية بتاتاً ولهذا السبب جرت العادة أن لا يأتيها زوار من خارج المدينة وبالإضافة إلى ذلك فهي لا تملك هوية خاصة بثقافة المدينة وأهلها بالحقيقة المدينة تم تأسيسها قبل قرابة ٧٠ عاماً فقط بسبب وجود محطة ضخ النفط التابعة لشركة أرامكو. بعد أخذ جولة سريعة على المدينة وجدت نفسي في سوق وسط البلد فكان هذا المكان والحي المجاور له مكاناً جيداً للتصوير. وهذه هي بعض الصور التي إلتقطتها من هناك
For the 2nd year: 12 Hours on the streets of Dammam
In Saturday 19th of March 2016 for the 2nd year in the 24 hour project event which is a street photography project started 5 years ago, I participated with this event for 12 hours straight in Dammam, Saudi Arabia! If you haven’t seen my 2015 12 Hours on the Street of Dammam please do. It was another great experience for my photographic skill to put on the test, I always wanted to do a long walk and random street shooting, this is the life I love to be in, so again I used my fujifilm X100s & this time I depended on the JPG format that the camera produce so I sometime switch it to b/w mode to color mode with sitting already saved in the camera, it really helped me get a lot of great photos in great shape without any processing. This time I took a lot of photo comparing to last year so it was tough to narrow it down, since I ended up with 70+ photos ( I know it’s too much ). I decided to show you half of it. Enjoy!
في يوم السبت ١٩ مارس ٢٠١٦ للسنة الثانية على التوالي لمشروع تصوير ٢٤ ساعة وهو حدث عالمي يهتم بتصوير حياة الشارع وتوثيقها، بدأ هذا المشروع قبل ٥ سنوات ولقد شاركت هذه السنة لمدة ١٢ ساعة متواصلة في شوارع الدمام بالسعودية! اذا لم تشاهدوا نتائج نسخة السنة الماضية من تدوينتي شاهدوها الان. لقد كانت تجربة رائعة لاختبار مهاراتي التصويرية في حياة الشارع، لقد رغبت منذ فترة طويلة المشي والتصوير بشكل عشوائي من حياة الشارع، تلك هي الحياة التي أحبها حقيقة، استخدمت كاميرتي الفوجي اكس ١٠٠ اس واعتمدت هذه المرة على صور جاي بي جي بدل من صور الراو وكنت أحول الاعدادات بين الملونة والاحادية في اعدادات مسبقة ومحفوظة، ساعدني كثيراً هذا الشيء في الحصول على صور ليست بحاجة إلى معالجة بتاتاً. كانت نتائجي كثيرة هذه المرة وبعضها دسم مقارنة بالسنة الماضية، بعد الفرز حصلت على اكثر من ٧٠ صورة وهو عدد كبير! لذلك قررت بمشاركتكم نصف هذا العدد، اتمنى ان تستمتعوا بها!
