Al Sunut Forest in Khartoum

In my trip to Sudan I spend my final day at the evening in AlSunut Forest, it’s located east of the White Nile river in the heart of Khartoum State, it’s so big that a lot of people consider it the lung of the city where they spend the weekend relaxing from heavy stress of the city, the people where so simple there and so are families enjoying their time, others are people who came to clean their cars & motorcycle using the river and lastly they love to swim in the river, it’s a beautiful place and it was perfect last photowalk for me in Sudan hopefully I get the chance to be back soon!

في رحلتي إلى السودان أمضيت يومي الأخير في المساء في غابة السنط والتي تقع في قلب ولاية الخرطوم شرق نهر النيل الأبيض، الغابة كبيرة لدرجة أن الكثير من الناس يعتبرونها رئة المدينة التي تتنفس بها حيث يمضون وقتهم بالراحة أثناء العطلة الاسبوعية بعيداً عن ضغوطات المدينة، الناس هناك بسيطون جداً وأيضاً العوائل يستمتعون بوقتهم، هناك اخرون يأتون لكي يقوموا بغسيل سياراتهم ودراجاتهم النارية من النهر وأخيراً هناك من يأتي للسباحة، المكان حقاً جميل وكانت ختامية مميزة لأخر جولة تصوير في السودان على أمل أن أعود مجدداً ربما قريباً!

Al Quran School in Sudan

Back to publish photos from Sudan and it was from a quick visit & unplanned for a school for teaching reading Al Quran in Khartoum, the kids here came from different parts of the country so they live in this school which is usually called Al Dar, I only took a few images so maybe next it will be a complete documentary about them.

عودة لنشر صور من السودان وكانت لزيارة سريعة جداً وغير مخطط لها لدار قرآن في الخرطوم وبالتحديد في مدينة أم دُرمان، الأطفال والمراهقين أتوا للدار من مختلف المناطق في الدولة لذلك هم يعيشون في هذه المدرسة، قمت بإلتقاط القليل من الصور لذلك المرة المقبلة أعتقد بأنني سأقوم بعمل تقرير أكبر من هذا.

Streets of Khartoum Part 5

Hello all, the last part of Khartoum state streets in Sudan, our heading was for Tuti Island which is the biggest island located on the Nail river and to be exact it’s located on the point which the white Nail river & the blue Nail river meet & merge together, in the island there was a village which has lots of traditional houses & narrow roads, the main road in the village which has some shops & lots of people who were really happy & welcoming to see me. مرحبا جميعاً، اخر جزء انشره من شوارع ولاية الخرطوم في السودان، كانت وجهتنا إلى جزيرة توتي الواقعة على ملتقى نهر النيل الأزرق مع نهر النيل الأبيض بالإضافة إلى أنها تعتبر أكبر جزيرة موجودة على نهر النيل، هناك تقع قرية بسيطة تحتوي على الكثير من البيوت التقليدية والممرات الضيقة، الشارع الرئيسي هناك يحتوي على بعض المحلات والكثير من الناس كانوا سعداء برؤيتي وكانوا مرحبين وأكثر. إذا لم تشاهد الأجزاء السابقة من شوارع السودان إضغط هنا.

Streets of Khartoum Part 4

Hello all, back with part 4 from Khartoum state streets in Sudan, I visited one of the markets in North Khartoum city which is one of 3 parts of Khartoum State (Part 1 & Part 3 was from Khartoum city and Part 2 was from Omdurman city) the market wasn’t big but it was filled with people even though it’s morning time, I saw lots of donkey carts their where people using them to transport merchandise between shops, also the people there ware welcoming and met more then one person who have worked in Saudi in the past which really made them love me visiting Sudan. مرحبا جميعاً، الجزء الرابع من شوارع ولاية الخرطوم في السودان، قمت بزيارة أحد الأسواق في مدينة الخرطوم البحري وهي أحد ٣ مدن التابعة لولاية الخرطوم (الجزء الأول والجزء الثالث كانت مدينة الخرطوم، الجزء الثاني كانت من مدينة أم دُرمان) يسمى بـ سوق حلة كوكو وهو لم يكن كبيراً ولكنه كان مكتظاً بالناس على الرغم من الوقت هو الصباح، رأيت هناك الكثير من عربات الحمير التي يستخدمها الناس لنقل بعض البضائع بين المحلات، أيضاً الناس هناك كانوا مرحبين كثيراً وقابلت أكثر من شخص أخبرني أنه عمل في وقت ما في السعودية والذي جعلهم سعداء برؤيتي قادماً من السعودية لزيارة السودان. إذا لم تشاهد الأجزاء السابقة من شوارع السودان إضغط هنا.

Streets of Khartoum Part 3

Hello all, Part 3 from Khartoum States streets in Sudan and this time I visited a market called AlSajjana market & also walked in the area around it in Khartoum city, the market was pretty small & has less things that attracted me as street photographer, but when we started walking in the area around it I loved most of the scenes I saw there. مرحبا بكم جميعاً، الجزء الثالث من شوارع ولاية الخرطوم في السودان وهذه المرة قمت بزيارة سوق يسمى سوق السجانة وتجولنا في الحي حوله في مدينة الخرطوم، السوق كان صغيراً نوعاً ما ولم يجذبني كثيراً كـ مصور ولكن عندما بدأنا بالتجول بالحي حوله بدأت الأمور تصبر أكثر اهتماماً. إذا لم تشاهد الأجزاء السابقة من شوارع السودان إضغط هنا.

Streets of Khartoum Part 2

Hello all, because some people were real excited about part 1, decided to drop part 2 pretty quick and if you haven’t seen the previous parts please do from here. I went to Omdurman city which is one of 3 parts of Khartoum State in Sudan (the first part was the capital city Khartoum), the heading was for the city market which is famous in Omdurman with lots of varieties, I just loved the market as a street photographer and from there I took my best shot from the entire trip, also the market is filled with vintage yellow taxies which at some point used to be everywhere in Saudi Arabia. Another unique thing in Sudan in general is almost at every street corner, alley & the markets there is a woman who sells tea & coffee in a very simple manner, one last thing which is I tried to focus more in the people at the market, then the sellers of the shops which are most of them aren’t really interested to be honest.

مرحبا جميعاً، لأن البعض أظهر حماسه من صور الجزء الأول قررت كتابة ونشر الصور للجزء الثاني بهذه السرعة وإذا كنت لم تقرأ الجزء الأول تفضل من هنا. ذهبت إلى مدينة أم دُرمان وهي أحد ٣ مناطق رئيسية في ولاية الخرطوم (المنطقة الأولى كانت العاصمة الخرطوم)، الوجهة كانت إلى السوق الشعبي بالمدينة والذي كان مشهوراً هناك، وقعت في حب هذا السوق كمصور حياة الشارع ومن هناك إلتقطت أفضل صورة لي من هذه الرحلة، أيضاً السوق مليء بسيارات الأجرة الصفراء اللون والتي كانت متواجدة بكثرة في الزمن الماضي في السعودية، شيء اخر مميز في السودان بشكل عام هو وجود سيدة تقوم ببيع الشاي والقهوة بشكل بسيط جداً ومتواجدون تقريباً في كل مكان في السوق والممرات والشوارع، وأخيراً قمت بالتركيز على تصوير الناس المتواجدة في السوق هناك أكثر من الباعة للمحلات لأنهم لم يكونوا مثيرين للاهتمام كثيراً.

Streets of Khartoum Part 1

Hello all, finally I’m posting photos from a new country which is something I want it to share for a while, in March 2018 I visited Khartoum State in Sudan for 4 days & I was lucky enough to get in touch with a photographer there so he can show me the good places for street photography. These photos are from a photowalk in Khartoum city downtown which was the first walk there, so you can say that these are my first impression of the city.

 مرحبا بكم جميعاً، أخيراً سأقوم بنشر صور من دولة جديدة وهو شيء كنت أود مشاركتكم به منذ فترة، في شهر مارس ٢٠١٨ قمت بزيارة ولاية الخرطوم في دولة السودان لمدة ٤ أيام وكنت محظوظاً بشأن اتصالي مع أحد المصورين هناك والذي قام بتوجيهي للأماكن الجيدة للتصوير. هذه الصور من جولة تصوير في وسط مدينة الخرطوم وهي كانت الجولة الاولى، لذا تعتبر هذه الصور الانطباع الأول لي لهذه المدينة.
