Muharraq Central 2 – street photography

Yet another street walk in Bahrain and again in Muharraq ( You can visit the first one here ) it was really quick because of the short time we had before sunset and I’ve used my canon with a 50mm lens instead of my fujifilm this time, The photos are less but I hope you enjoy it!

مرة اخرى جولة في البحرين وأيضاً في شوارع المحرق ( تستطيع زيارة التدوينة الأولى من المحرق هنا ) كانت زيارة سريعة جداً بسبب ضيق الوقت قبل غروب الشمس وقمت باستخدام كاميرا الكانون مع عدسة ٥٠مم بدلاً من كاميرا الفوجي، الصور قليلة ولكن أتمنى أن تروق لكم!

Iftar table from the top – Ramadn project

Ramadn is the holy month of the year where all muslims fast from food & drinks from sunrise until sunset from all over the world, fasting is one of the 5 Pillars of Islam which is a most for all adult & teenage muslims, of course the young kids are excluded. Here are different Iftar tables ( When they break their fast after sunset they call it Iftar ) in a vertical view from above from different houses taken in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

I’ve went to Bahrain several times for street photography, and this is one of the first visits which was in Muharraq, Bahrain. I explored some of the old areas there near the market which was inhabited mostly by foreign families

ذهبت إلى البحرين عدة مرات لتصوير حياة الشارع وهذه احدى الزيارات الاولى والتي كانت في المحرق. تجولت في الاحياء القديمة بالقرب من السوق وهناك العوائل الأجنبية هم معظم سكانها

Burial in Saudi Arabia 2 – Documentary

Another documentary on this subject which is very difficult for a lot to photograph, I already published some photos from another burial in 2015 check it out if you have time. This time I arrived early before moving the deceased to the graveyard, after the deceased get cleaned & washed by men who are there job to do so they prepare him to be carried away, won’t say more then the photos would! Photos taken in Jubail village – ِAlsharien graveyard, AlHasa, Saudi Arabia – 15 January 2017

وثائقي جديد عن هذا الموضوع الذي دوماً تكون هناك صعوبة شديدة في كل من يريد تصويره، لقد قمت مسبقاً بنشر صور من دفن تم في ٢٠١٥ قوموا بزيارتها ان كان لديكم الوقت. في هذه المرة وصلت مبكراً قبل بدء التشييع نحو المقبرة، وصلت في مغتسل الموتى بعد أنهى العاملون هناك من عملية غسيل المتوفى وتكفينه، لن أطيل الحديث، البقية في الصور! الصورة ملتقطة في قرية الجبيل – مقبرة الشهارين بالأحساء – ١٥ يناير ٢٠١٧

Playful kids – Street photography

In the alleys of one of the villages in AlHasa, Saudi Arabia. The kids always love to play and mess around, it’s brings me back to my childhood memories when I was a kid, I did more then that.

في الممرات الضيقة لأحد القرى في الأحساء بالمنطقة الشرقية، هؤلاء الأطفال يلعبون ويلهون هنا وهناك، رؤيتهم تعيد لي الذاكرة لتلك الطفولة، والتي فعلت بها أكثر من ذلك.

In memory for AlAnoud Martyrs – Documentary

It’s been almost a year since Dammam have lost 4 brave men who were responsible for preventing a suicide attack on AlAnoud Mosque at Friday preyer time held by a terrorist group in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. There was a big funeral held in Saihat ( a nearby town ) for the 4 brave martyrs and thousands attended it, I was among them with my camera, didn’t try to cover it like the usual way, but instead I tried to cover it from the eye of a person who attended the funeral. I didn’t share the photos at that time because there were too many who already covered it and shared their photos.

مضت الان قرابة عام كامل منذ أن فقدت الدمام ٤ شبان والذين بفضل الله ثم بفضلهم تمكنوا من منع هجوم انتحاري ارهابي على جامع العنود في وقت صلاة الجمعة من قبل مجموعة ارهابية في الدمام المملكة العربية السعودية. كان هناك تشييع كبير في بلدة سيهات للشهداء الأربعة وقد حضرها آلاف من الاشخاص الذين قدموا للمشاركة في هذا التشييع، كنت من ضمن هؤلاء الأشخاص مع كاميرتي، لم أحاول أن أقوم بتغطية التشييع بالطريقة التقليدية ولكن قمت بإلتقاط صور من منظور الأشخاص الحاضرين في التشييع. لم أنشر هذه الصور في ذلك الوقت بسبب أن هناك الكثيرين ممن قاموا بتغطية هذا الحدث الكبير ومشاركة الصور.

Busy Gas Stations in Saudi Arabia

Today 28th Dec. 2015 the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced it’s yearly budget which showed what lots have feared, they also announced changing the gas prices and will take effect immediately tomorrow! After hearing the news in the social media the people reacts to this shocking news in attempt to fill their cars with gas before it changes tomorrow and as a result the gas stations in major cities were flooded with cars in several hours and some closed early because the tanks of the station has dried.

اليوم في ٢٨ من ديسمبر ٢٠١٥ أعلنت المملكة العربية السعودية ميزانيتها السنوية والتي أظهرت ما يخشاه الكثيرين، أعلنوا بجانب ذلك تغيير أسعار المنتجات البترولية والتي سيبدأ تطبيقها مباشرة غداً! بعد تناقل الخبر وسط وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي تفاعل الكثيرين تجاه هذا الخبر الصادم بأن يقوم بتعبئة سيارته بالبنزين قبل أن يتغير للسعر الجديد وكنتيجة لذلك محطات البنزين في المدن الكبيرة أصبحت مزدحمة لساعات بالسيارات التي تود تعبئة البنزين وبعض المحطات الاخرى أقفلت مبكراً نظراً أن خزان المحطة قد فرغ.

It’s been 5 years now since I’ve gone Makkah to do pilgrims myself, back then I was just getting started with my photography but I still took my camera with me to Makkah. The funny thing is that the one & only time I took my camera to the Holy Mosque ( AlHarm ) was the Canon 400D with Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM ! I dunno what was in my mind, but I was able to take inside and capture at least one shot that I was aiming for and published in that year.

This is photo is another angle, but I didn’t like it a lot because of the white cloth that covers the Kaaba and I’ve added the previous photo that I publish re-edited. And Happy Eid everyone!

مضت الأن ٥ سنوات منذ ذهابي إلى مكة لأداء فريضة الحج، في ذلك الوقت كنت حديث العهد مع هواية التصوير ولكن مع ذلك لم أغادر بدون كاميرتي. الشيء المضحك والعجيب أنه المرة الوحيدة التي أخذت بها الكاميرا إلى الحرم المكي والتي كانت من نوع كانون ٤٠٠ دي مع عدسة ٧٠-٢٠٠مم ! لا أعلم حقيقة ما كان يدور بذهني حين فعلت ذلك ولكنني تمكنت من اخذها إلى داخل الحرم واستطعت إلتقاط صورة على الأقل كانت بذهني ونشرتها في تلك السنة.

هذه الصورة من زاوية اخرى، لم تعجبني كثيراً بسبب الزوائد البيضاء التي تغطي الكعبة الشريفة والصورة الثانية هي التي نشرتها سابقاً أضفتها أيضاً مع اعادة معالجتها بشكل أفضل. وكل عام وأنتم بخير!

My Hometown – Documentary Photography

I don’t usually post my street photos really quickly which are not included in my street project because I’m holding them for some time, but for this one I’ll make an exception! why is that? this is a photo from my hometown in AlHasa which is a very well known village “ AlQarah “. Although I photographed a lot in AlHasa, this is my first time walking around here to capture street footage from my hometown and it wasn’t enough at all because of the short time and the hot weather.
