Finally after many attempt for capturing the sun right behind Murjan Island Tower (30 meter hight tower) in Dammam from a distance of 4.4 km, because the timing & the place was crucial I had a very small window to capture the photos I want to take while the sun is coming up, I’ll be adding the exact time of each photograph so you can see my point.

أخيراً تمكنت بعد عدة محاولات من إلتقاط صورة لقرص الشمس خلف برج جزيرة المرجان المعروفة في الدمام (ارتفاع البرج ٣٠ متر) من على بعد مسافة ٤,٤ كم، لأن التوقيت ومكان التصوير حساساً جداً كانت لديه وقت قصير لكي أتمكن إلتقاط الصور أثناء الشروق، سأقوم بإضافة الوقت بالتحديد لكل صورة لكي يتضح حديثي.

Street Photography at Night 4 – AlHasa

Hello and another night photography walk but this time in AlHasa, I visited AlQaisaryah Market in the weekend and it was very crowded even with the pandemic but luckily I’ve ended up with nice shots.

مرحبا مرة اخرى وجولة تصوير جديدة في الليل ولكن هذه المرة في محافظة الأحساء، قمت بزيارة سوق القيصرية الشهير في عطلة نهاية الأسبوع وكان مكتظاً جداً بالناس على الرغم من الجائحة ولكن مع ذلك إستطعت إلتقاط بعض الصور الجيدة من هذه الجولة.

So I found something in my archive which for some reason I didn’t share it before, back in 2017 I had a visit to a festival in the sea front in Dammam which is something I don’t do (going to festivals), anyhow there was a whole section for different craftsman from different gulf countries and one of them was Ibrahim AlFaikkawi Abu Mohammed from Kuwait who came upon invitation for the festival.

كنت أبحث في أرشيفي ووجدت مجلداً لسبب ما لم أقم بمشاركة الصور التي تحتويه من قبل، في عام ٢٠١٧ كانت لدي زيارة لمهرجان الساحل الشرقي في الواجهة البحرية في الدمام وأنا شخصياً لست من الأشخاص الذي يحب زيارة المهرجانات أبداً، على كل حال كان هناك قسم خاص بالحرفيين وكانوا من عدة دول من الخليج وكان أحدهم النوخذة إبراهيم الفيلكاوي أبومحمد من دولة الكويت والذي جاء عبرة دعوة للحضور للمشاركة في المهرجان.

These are from a photowalk 2 month ago when we had the only week in winter with rains in our city, luckly I was on vacation so I really enjoyed the results of this walk.

My 19 day road trip in 3 parts of Saudi

So in December 2020 I took my annual vacation and started my yearly photography road trip in Saudi Arabia and because I had to meet up with my wife & kids in one of the cities it became a long mix trip between a photography trip & a family trip. Anyway my first destination was visiting Qassim Region which is located north of Riyadh Region and I stayed there for 3 nights.

في شهر ديسمبر ٢٠٢٠ بدأت اجازتي السنوية من وظيفتي وبدأت رحلتي البرية للتصوير في السعودية والتي أقوم بها سنوياً مرة على الأقل ولأنني في منتصف الرحلة استقبلت زوجتي وابنائي في أحد المدن بعد أن قدموا عن طريق الطيارة أصبحت الرحلة مزيج ما بين التصوير والترفيه للعائلة. على كل حال كانت وجهتي الأولى هي زيارة منطقة القصيم الواقعة شمال منطقة الرياض مباشرة وجلست هناك ٣ ليال.

Hello and once again back to posting from AlHasa, I visited one of the weekly markets which is the Saturday Market in AlHulaylah Village, just before sunrise everyone in the market is already in their usual spot getting their merchandise on the tables or on a small carpet on the street, the market is located in one street mostly, about the people most of them were just happy to see a photographer but overall AlHasa people are all welcoming.

مرحبا بكم جميعاً ومرة اخرة نعود إلى النشر من الأحساء، قمت بزيارة أحد الأسواق الأسبوعية وهو سوق السبت الواقع في قرية الحليلة، قبل شروق الشمس تجد البائعين متواجدين في أماكنهم المعتادة يقومون بتجهيز بضاعتهم وترتيبها على الطاولة والبعض الاخر على قطعة قماش على أرض الشارع، السوق موقعه على شارع واحد داخل القرية غالباً، وعن البائعين والناس كان معظمهم سعيد لرؤية مصور بالسوق ولكن بالإجمال الناس بالأحساء مرحبين.

Street photography at Night 3 – Dammam Central

Another street photography walk at night, it’s kinda hard to get really good shots after all I walked over an hour & a half and just got a few good ones, but I’m happy with them, plus I also gone to some new manual cold tones in Lightroom Classic.

جولة تصوير لحياة الشارع في الليل، التصوير في هذا الوقت صعب إلى حدٍ ما لكي أتمكن من إلتقاط صور جيدة حتى بعد مشي أكثر من ساعة ونصف وتمكنت من إلتقاط بعض الصور ولكنني راضي عن النتائج، أيضاً توجهت في المعالجة بإستخدام تون بارد في برنامج لايتروم كلاسيك.

Day 81 Dammam – Birds Market

Today’s post is from the birds market in Dammam which is a weekly market that takes place every Friday, I previously visited and posted about this market in this project (Day 53 – Dammam) the market starts before sunrise early morning and gets really crowded after a few hours and continues until noon, the market uses a car park space for the main birds seller, beside that space there are narrow streets which sellers use them to sell different kind of stuff (almost anything). Because of COVID19 everything stopped for months and people of the market are relieved that it starting to get back slow and of course carefully.

تدوينة اليوم من سوق الطيور في الدمام وهو سوق أسبوعي يقام كل يوم جمعة، قمت سابقاً بتصوير ونشر عن هذا السوق في المشروع (اليوم ٥٣ – الدمام) السوق يبدأ قبل شروق الشمس في الصباح الباكر ويصبح أكثر إزدحاماً بعد ساعات قليلة ويستمر حتى وقت صلاة الجمعة، السوق يستخدم مساحة مواقف سيارات للجزء الرئيسي من السوق والمخصص غالباً للطيور وبجانبه ممرات الشوارع الضيقة والتي يستخدمها البائعون في بيع مختلف الأشياء. بسبب جائحة الكورونا كل شيء توقف لشهور والان أصحاب السوق سعيدين بعودته ببطء وبالطبع بحذر.

Dammam Downtown – Street photography

The other day I went for a quick photowalk in Dammam, it was more observation then photographing and trying to wait for the right moment to capture, I do this kind of photography in places I already visited more then once in order to capture something different.

خرجت للتصوير في جولة سريعة في الدمام، كانت الجولة بصرية أكثر مما هي تصويرياً وحاولت في أكثر من مكان الانتظار لإلتقاط صورة في اللحظة المناسبة، أصبحت أميل لهذا في الأماكن التي سبق وزرتها أكثر من مرة لكي أخرج بصورة مختلفة.
