Documentary about burial in Saudi Arabia and to be exact in one of AlHasa villages, I already published years ago 2 blog post from the same subject, I’ll link them at the end of this post. The burial ceremony footage begin after the arrival of the deceased to the cemetery, people participate in carrying the deceased on a special carrier placed on the top a piece of cloth that has names of Allah and pieces from AlQuran, throughout the carrying they stop several time for praying and reading surah alfatiha before arriving to the grave, then they carefully place the deceased inside the grave and seal it with layers of boards & mud before finally doing the actual burying with the sand until it’s leveled to the ground.

وثائقي عن الدفن في السعودية وبالتحديد في أحد قرى محافظة الأحساء، قمت سابقاً بنشر تدوينتين لنفس الموضوع وسأقوم بوضع الروابط الخاصة بها في نهاية هذه التدوينة. الصور لمراسم الدفن هذه بدأت عند وصول المتوفى إلى المقبرة، الناس الموجودة تشارك في حمل المتوفى في حامل خاص مغطى بقطعة قماش مليئة بأسماء الله وآيات من القرآن الكريم، أثناء الحمل يتم التوقف عدة مرات منها لأداء صلاة الميت وأيضاً لقراءة سورة الفاتحة على المتوفى قبل الوصول إلى القبر، بعد ذلك يتم انزال المتوفى في حفرة القبر بعناية ويتم إغلاقها بطبقات من الألواح والطين قبل أن تتم عملية الدفن المعروفة بالرمال حتى يتم مساواتها مع الأرض
