AlQarah Streets – Film Photography

Hello all, today I’m publishing some film photos from my hometown village in AlHasa which I had for a while but didn’t scan them digitally until recently & seeing the photos for the first time, in that I day I wanted to try a color film with an iso of 400 and because the films were expired the noise was high & low in different frames, but some of them had really beautiful vibrant color. 

مرحبا بالجميع، اليوم سأقوم بنشر بعض الصور الفلمية من مسقط رأسي في الأحساء والتي كانت بحوزتي منذ فترة ولكن لم أقم بتحويلها رقمياً من ذلك الوقت، قمت أخيراً بتحويلها رقمياً ومشاهدة الصور للمرة الأولى، في ذلك اليوم قررت التصوير بأفلام ملونة وكانت ايزو ٤٠٠ ولأنه الأفلام كانت منتهية الصلاحية كان التحبب مرتفع ومنخفض في مختلف الصور، ولكن بعضها ظهرت بألوان جميلة جداً.

AlDawaser Room – Story 015

في أحد أزقة حي الدواسر في مدينة الدمام يجتمع بشكل دوري ويومي مجموعة من كبار السن والمتقاعدين عن العمل في غرفة صغيرة في أحد البيوت الشعبية، يلعبون الورق ويشربون الشاي ويتبادلون الأحاديث والأخبار عن بعضهم البعض وأحياناً أحدهم يجلب معه وجبة من المنزل ليتناولوها سوياً, جميعهم عاشوا في صغرهم في هذا الحي قبل أن يتفرقون في أحياء أخرى بمنازل جديدة ولكنهم مع ذلك يلتقون هنا بشكل مستمر متمسكين بالمكان الذي احتضن أهاليهم وطفولتهم

In of the alleys of AlDawaser Area in Dammam city a group of old men & retired men gather daily in this small room in one of the old heritage houses, they play card, drink tea and catch up on their life, also sometimes one of them bring a homemade meal so they can all eat together. All of them at some point lived & grew up in this area before all of them scatter to different areas with new houses but even so they still continue to meet in the place that their childhood once held it.

Dammam Central Lockdown – Photojournalism

On Monday 16th of March 2020 the Eastern Province Municipality in Saudi Arabia decided to close all malls, open major market on the main streets & central of the cities with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies & restaurants due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country to prevent more spread, on Thursday 19th of March I visited Dammam Central Market at 04:00 pm which is usually consider a very active time on this day because it’s the beginning of the weekend, but the streets were almost empty, people just passing by the different closed shops and some sellers are just sitting by their closed shop drinking tea & chatting with others in this free time which is killing them.

في يوم الإثنين ١٦ مارس ٢٠٢٠ قامت أمانة المنطقة الشرقية في السعودية بقرار إغلاق المجمعات التجارية والأسواق الشعبية المفتوحة وعلى بعض الشوارع الرئيسية وسوق وسط المدينة لجميع مدن المنطقة مع إستثناء محلات المواد الغذائية والصيدليات والمطاعم وذلك بسبب وباء فايروس الكورونا المنتشر عالمياً وفي البلاد، في يوم الخميس ١٩ مارس ٢٠٢٠ الساعة ٤ مساءً قمت بزيارة سوق وسط المدينة والذي يعتبر من أوقات الذروة في هذا اليوم كونه بداية عطلة الأسبوع ولكن الشوارع كانت شبه خالية، الناس عابرون للمحلات المختلفة المغلقة وكان هناك بعض الباعة الجالسون بجانب محلاتهم المغلقة يشربون الشاي ويتحادثون مع بعضهم في ظل الفراغ القاتل.

The Whiteness of Quba Mosque – Documentary

كنت اليوم أتصفح أرشيفي من بعض الصور التي لا تختص صور حياة الشارع والبورتريهات، ووجدت صور لمسجد قباء إلتقطتها قبل بضعة سنين ولم أنشرها من قبل، مسجد قباء الذي يقع جنوب المسجد النبوي الشريف في المدينة المنورة يعتبر أولى المساجد التي بنيت في الإسلام ويتميز باللون الأبيض الرخامي المميز.

I was searching in my archive for photos that doesn’t involve street photography when I stumbled on a few photos of Quba Mosque in AlMadinah I took it a few years ago which I’ve never published it before, Quba Mosque is known for being the first Mosque ever built in Islam & it’s unique to whiteness of marble used to built the mosque as it’s shown nowadays.

في حارة أبوالسعود بالقرب من قصر الأمارة القديم في مدينة نجران، أبوعبدالله من سكانها القدامى يملك بيتاً له ولأبناءه بناه قبل ٤٠ عاماً.

The children of AlDawaser Area in Dammam, Saudi Arabia gather here almost everyday to play their favorite game, many football players once begun playing in places like this and also a lot of us also too.

أطفال حي الدواسر في الدمام يجتمعون بشكل شبه يومي في هذا الشارع الصغير لممارسة لعبتهم المفضلة، الكثير من لاعبين كرة القدم كانوا يوماً يلعبون في بيئة شبيهة بهذه ونحن كذلك.

Morning walk in Dubai – Street photography

Hello all, I visited AlRas area in Dubai, UAE. My last visit to the country was 3 years ago and to be honest I’m only here to attend Battle of Bars Dubai 2019 at Dubai Muscle Show, so I used some of my free time to photograph at one of the markets, of course the morning isn’t the best time but it was my only free time, I got out with just a few results because most the people here are foreign & personally I don’t like to photograph them much directly.

مرحبا جميعاً، قمت بزيارة منطقة الراس في مدينة دبي بالإمارات وكانت زيارتي الاخيرة للدولة قبل ٣ سنوات، بالحقيقة أنا هنا لحضور بطولة دولية لرياضة الكاليسثنيكس وقمت بإستغلال وقتي للتصوير في أحد الأسواق، بالطبع الصباح ليس أفضل الأوقات ولكنه كان الوقت الوحيد المتوفر لدي، كانت جولة لطيفة وهادئة وخرجت ببعض النتائج ولكن ليس الكثير منها لأنني شخصياً لا أفضل تصوير وتوثيق العمالة الأجنبية بشكل مباشر وهو بكل التأكيد ما يغلب عدداً هنا.

One Year with Talal

As photographer which I always love to capture portraits so much, I do that also with my kids. My baby boy Talal just turned 1 Year this month and in the past year he was always in front my lens each month at least 1 time, so I’ll be showing one photo for each month starting with a photo from his birth day.

أنا مصور أعشق تصوير البورتريهات على الدوام لذلك أقوم بتصوير أبنائي الكثير من البورتريهات. إبني الصغير طلال قد أتم عامه الأول وفي خلال الشهور الماضية كنت ألتقط له صورة على الأقل مرة واحدة كل شهر، لذلك سوف أعرض صورة واحدة لكل شهر إبتداءاً من صورته يوم الولادة.

Coal market in Taif – Documentary

When I was in Taif west of Saudi Arabia in my last photography trip I had the chance to visit the local coal market which was on the borders of the city, the market focuses on selling coal & firewood in different sizes & kinds which used in cooking, their sales goes up in the winter because lots of people use if to get warm at nights or just to make tea & Arabian coffee, Also noticed that most sellers are African nationality. Here are the result of this visit.

عندما كنت في مدينة الطائف غرب السعودية في رحلتي الفوتوغرافية الأخيرة كانت لدي الفرصة لزيارة السوق المحلي لبيع الفحم والذي كان يقع في حدود المدينة، السوق يركز على بيع الفحم بأحجامه والحطب المستخدمة في الطبخ والتدفئة، عادة المبيعات تكون مرتفعة في فصل الشتاء بسبب أن كثير من الناس يستخدمونها في التدفئة ليلاً بالإضافة إلى تحضير الشاي والقهوة العربية، كان أغلب الباعة هناك من جنسيات متفرقة من أفريقيا. وهذه نتائج هذه الزيارة.

Muharraq Central 3 – street photography

So I was looking in my archive and I found out that I still had one more photo walk from Muharraq city in Bahrain! I remember that I stopped at the main street with markets and started to walk inside the alleys, I was aiming to photograph the places & the people there. Here are the results.

كنت أبحث في أرشيف الصورة ووجدت أن هناك جولة اخرى في مدينة المحرق بمملكة البحرين! أتذكر أني توقفت في الشارع الرئيسي المليء بالأسواق وبدأت بالدخول بين الحارات الضيقة، كنت أهدف لتصوير المكان والناس هناك، هذه بعض النتائج.
