Ahh, it’s started the one thing I thought about since I started focusing more in photographing lots things around in the country, the day when I post something which was 10 years ago, starting with this one. 10 years ago the 83rd Saudi National Day was still only a national vacation day for all the country but without any preprepared festivals, I remember in that year seeing people celebrate in a simple way by rising the Saudi flag, marching cars & wearing green clothes in public area in Dammam, I went in the day for Dammam water front (corniche) and photographed the celebration there, when I look at the photos over & over the thing that different from today’s photos is that almost nobody is holding a mobile to take photos or videos. Here are some of the results from that day which are never seen or published before.
أخيراً بدأ الموضوع الذي كنت أفكر فيه لفترة طويلة منذ بدأت بالتركيز بالتصوير والتوثيق أكثر داخل المملكة، اليوم الذي سأقوم بنشر صور قمت بتصويرها قبل ١٠ سنوات وبدءً من هذه التدوينة. قبل ١٠ سنوات صادف اليوم الوطني ٨٣ الذي كان فقط يمثل اجازة وطنية لجميع المملكة ولكن بدون احتفالات مجهزة على الأقل ليست كما هي متوسعة ومنتشرة في الفترة الأخيرة، أتذكر في تلك السنة رؤية الناس يحتفلون بأنفسهم بشكل بسيط بمسيرات السيارات ولبس اللون الأخضر ورفع الأعلام في الأماكن العامة في مدينة الدمام، في ذلك اليوم توجهت إلى كورنيش الواجهة البحرية وصورت الاحتفالات هناك، عندما أشاهد الصورة أكثر وأكثر ألاحظ شيئاً واحد مختلفاً تماماً عن صور احتفالات هذه الأيام وهو أنه تقريباً لا يوجد أحد يقوم بالتصوير من هاتفه النقال. هذه بعض النتائج من ذلك اليوم وهي صورة لم تشاهد ولم تنشر من قبل.
