On my way from Qassim Region to Hafer AlBatin from my road trip, I’ve come across beautiful sights of camels which I’m always on the look out for them.

Hello all, for a change I’m sharing a family trip instead the usual trips or usual photowalks that I share in my blog, like always writing my personal experience with many photos & some video clips, hope you will enjoy it it will be a long post.
مرحبا بالجميع، من باب التغيير سأشارككم رحلة عائلية بدلاً عن الرحلات أو الجولات الفوتوغرافية المعتادة التي أنشرها في المدونة، كالمعتاد سأكتب تجربتي الشخصية مع العديد من الصور وبعض مقاطع الفيديو، وأتمنى أن تنال إعجابكم ستكون تدوينة طويلة
First Family trip to a far country in 5 years and we chose Kazakhstan and to be exact we chose Almaty city, we plan almost everything in a matter of 2 weeks, some reasons that we chose Kazakhstan is because it’s mostly not being visited frequently by people from our country plus it doesn’t need a visa and lastly we were lucky that the month of May is one of the months that being recommended to visit Almaty, I managed to contact a local tourism company were they set up everything we need including a guide because of the language difficulty, the locals mostly talks Kazakh & Russian but only little speaks English & rarely Arabic, when we arrived at Friday dawn I was surprised with a big misunderstanding from the hotel reservation which didn’t suit us so I had to cancel it with the company and do my own reservation via Bookings and managed to get a good apartment in a very good spot filled with restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.
سفرة عائلية بعد مضي ٥ سنوات على آخر سفرة وكانت الوجهة هي دولة كازاخستان وتحديداً مدينة ألماتي وكانت بتخطيط مفاجئ إلى حدٍ ما وفي غضون أسبوعين فقط، أولاً وقع الاختيار على كازاخستان لأسباب منها أنها دولة غير مستهلكة في السفر من قبل الناس بمجتمعنا بالإضافة إلى عدم حاجتها للتأشيرة وأخيراً شهر مايو هو أحد الأشهر المناسبة للسفر لهذه المدينة، تواصلت مع أحد المكاتب المحلية وتم الحجز المطلوب وكان من المهم وجود مرشد سياحي من أجل اللغة بسبب أنهم يستخدمون اللغة الكازخية والروسية بالغالب وقليلاً الانجليزية ونادراً العربية، أثناء وصولنا في فجر يوم الجمعة تفاجئت بوجود سوء فهم في حجز فندق وبعد تعب الرحلة في الصباح قررت إلغاء الحجز الذي تم من قبل المكتب وغامرت بالبحث عن شقة مناسبة حتى وصلت لشقة غرفة وصالة وكانت تناسب حجم عائلتي بالإضافة إلى كونها أرخص من الفندق وأوسع وفي مكان مليء بالمقاهي وبعض المطاعم والمحلات الغذائية

مرحباً بالجميع قبل البداية أحب أن أقول هذه التدوينة من المفترض نشرها قبل ٣ شهور أي بعد عودتي من الرحلة ولكن لسبب ما سقطت سهواً وأنا شديد الحرص على تدوين ما أستطيع من مسيرتي الفوتوغرافية لذا جرى التنويه
After year & 10 months without any photography trips, I started one on January 2024 and a very short trip making it the shortest trip of all time with more then a city (I don’t think I’m gonna do that again), first stop was Riyadh like always, on my arrival at the morning to the capital I headed straight to AlBatha Area downtown because of the markets & the endless scenes there and also because I prefer to photograph there in the morning, I parked my car in a multi-floor parking lot & started my photowalk there in the narrow alleys through the tall buildings around, the sun was almost direct which led to perfect lightings in these alleys, in the afternoon I drove my car around an area called AlShumaysi then parked only a couple of minutes of small local auction which was difficult to photograph because it had foreign people from different countries from Africa & Asia, I met with some Saudi old men which they lived in this area in the past but still continue to come from time to time and we talked about different things, I left the auction but continued to walk around the old houses in the area and in the end it was a very productive photowalk for me.
بعد انقطاع سنة و١٠ شهور عن رحلات التصوير، بدأت يوم أمس رحلة تصوير قصيرة جداً والتي تجعلها أقصر رحلة تصوير تتضمن أكثر من مدينة قمت بها (ولا أعتقد أنني سأكررها مرة اخرى) وكانت أول نقطة للتوقف هي الرياض، مباشرة مع وقت وصولي صباحاً للعاصمة توجهت لمنطقة البطحاء وسط الرياض بسبب الأسواق والمشاهد اللامنتهية هناك وبسبب أنني دائماً أفضل التصوير هناك في الصباح، أوقفت سيارتي في مبنى نستو هايبر والذي يحتوي على مواقف في طوابق علوية وبدات جولتي هناك من الممرات الضيقة في المباني التي المقابلة للمواقف وتجولت هناك حتى ما قبل اذان الظهر، الشمس كانت اضاءتها حادة مما ساعد على خلق اضاءة ممتازة في الممرات، بعد صلاة العصر أخذت جولة بالسيارة حول حي الشميسي الذي سمعت عنه القيل والقال ولكن أردت الرؤية بنفسي، من حسن الحظ أنني أوقفت سيارتي على الشارع الرئيسي وفقط على بعد دقيقتين من تواجد مجموعة من الجالية الأفريقية والآسيوية واليمنية في حراج يسمى بـ حراج الرخوم، رأيت مجموعة من كبار السن من أهالي الحي سابقاً واعتادوا على المجيء باستمرار للحراج ودار بين وبينهم أحاديث متنوعة، كان التصوير هناك كان صعب جداً ولكنني غادرت الحراج وتجولت في الحي ما بين البيوت الطين القديمة والكتابات العشوائية بأشكالها وعلى الرغم من قلة احتكاكي مع أهاليها إلا أنها كانت جولة مثمرة بالنسبة لي.

Continue reading “Daily life in Dammam Corniche & Sunset”Over a year since I visited AlHasa for photography which is something that really upset me when I think about it, I used go there a lot, but life has other plans hoping that I will be back on track, I went to Hofuf to deliver printed photos (which is for another post) so after finishing up I had time and walked around the two old areas and got some really nice scenes to capture.
أكثر من عام على اخر زيارة للأحساء للتصوير وهذا الشيء أزعجني كلما قمت بالتفكير به، أعتدت الذهاب هناك عدة مرات على مدار العام ولكن الحياة لديها خطط وأولويات اخرى، على أمل أن أعود لنشاطي المعتاد مرة اخرى، قمت بزيارة الهفوف وتحديداً حي النعاثل لتسليم صور مطبوعة (وهذا حديث في تدوينة اخرى) لذا بعد انتهيت من تسليم الصور كان لدي بعض الوقت للتجول في الحي وزيارة حي الرفعة الشمالية واستطعت الحصول على مشاهد جيدة.

Continue reading “Photowalk in Old Saihat – street photography”Hello with a different kind of post, away from the usual street photos, this time it’s portraits, from time to time I like to get advantage of meeting with friends at the farm to photograph an idea and the idea becomes more interesting with different faces which eventually it become a series photos, the idea was to throw water at the person face from both sides in the same time while he’s expressing an angry scream about a certain moment then the expressing suddenly become either a shock from the water or laughter, in the end I wanted to capture unusual expressions in a frame with a splash.
مرحبا مع تدوينة مختلفة هذه المرة بعيداً عن تصوير الشارع المعتاد، هذه المرة التدوينة عبارة عن بورتريهات، من وقت إلى وقت أحب أن أستغل تواجدي مع الأصحاب عند اللقاء بهم في تجمعنا السنوي في أحد المزارع لتصوير فكرة، والفكرة ذاتها تصبح أكثر اهتمام عندما تكون هناك وجوهاً مختلفة والتي بالنهاية تقودها إلى تحولها إلى سلسلة صور، الفكرة كانت عبارة عن إلقاء دلواً من الماء على الوجه من الجانبين في وقت واحد بينما يقوم الشخص بالتعبير عن لحظة معينة بالصراخ والغضب وفي لحظة وصول الماء يتحول ذلك التعبير إما إلى تعبير مصدوم أو تعبير فكاهي، في النهاية أردت أن ألتقط تعابير غير اعتيادية ضمن اطار مع إلقاء الماء وتطايره.

Continue reading “Exploding Expression – Portrait photography”Hello all, it’s been a while since my last blog post and the reason behind that is that I don’t have new photographs to publish, stopping my usual photowalks plus no photography trips for more then a year is the reason due to personal life priorities and the hard part is done, now slowly getting back even though it’s still summer & very hot in Saudi.
Anyway let’s get to this post which was in Tarout Island located west of Qatif in the Eastern Province, I already went to this area many times but the last time was 2 years ago, now a lot of houses were demolished & some just fell apart but the municipality are doing a fine job in preserving what still intact from the old heritage houses.
مرحبا بالجميع، مر بعض الوقت منذ اخر تدوينة قمت بنشرها والسبب يعود إلى أنه ليس لدي صور جديدة لنشرها، التوقف عن الجولات الفوتوغرافية بالإضافة إلى عدم وجود رحلة تصوير لأكثر من عام بسبب بعض الأولويات في حياتي الشخصية ولكن أستطيع القول بأن الجزء الصعب قد انتهى والان عدت للتصوير ببطئ على الرغم من أنه لا يزال فصل الصيف والجو حار في السعودية.
على أي حال هذه التدوينة من جزيرة تاروت الواقعة غرب محافظة القطيف بالمنطقة الشرقية، ذهبت لهذا الحي بالتحديد عدة مرات وهو حي الديرة القديم ولكن كانت اخر زيارة قبل عامين، وجدت بعض المباني قد هدمت والبعض الاخر انهار ولكن أرى أن الجهات المختصة تقوم بعمل لا بأس به في المحافظة على ما تبقى من المباني الأثرية.
